RW Carbon has now designed and created our own take on a full carbon fiber hood for all of our Mercedes C190 and R190 owners. This hood was designed in-house to be similar to the OEM hood however, we introduced a raised cowl in the middle for a greater road presence. We opted out of any additional vents or scoops to keep the styling classy and sophisticated without going overboard. These RWS carbon fiber hoods come ready to install, essentially a one-for-one replacement, giving your Mercedes a race-inspired feel. It can also be prepped for paint matching to achieve an OEM+ look and feel. Aside from the aesthetic upgrade, this hood is lighter than the factory hood, allowing for some weight savings as well. This hood will fit all 2015-2022 C190 and R190 including the GT, GTS, GTC, and GTR models. This is made with traditional high-quality 2x2 carbon fiber weave which will match perfectly with all of our other RW Carbon products. Installation
Installing the RW C190 hood is really straight forward and can be completed in just 2-3 hours using hand tools. If you're in Southern California, we also offer installation services for your convenience!
- Note: Your OEM hood struts are engineered with a heavier metal hood in mind and are not intended for carbon fiber hoods. We recommend removing the struts or replacing them with a strut with less resistance. When closing the hood, do not slam it but rather apply even pressure with the palms of your hands to get the hood to latch in place. Not following these instructions can lead to premature cracking or damage.
