Es eignet sich als Raumteiler, kann an einer Wand entlang in Reihe platziert werden und dient durch seine hierfür perfekte Höhe auch als Steharbeitsplatz mit, in dieser Funktion darunter liegend, ausreichendem Platz für Unterlagen. Die beiden mittleren Böden sind beliebig höhenverstellbar und bieten damit als Regalkonzept endlich auch die nötige Höhe für die heute oftmals übergroßen Fotokunstbände.

Mit dem S44 schuf Marcel Breuer ein offenes Regalsystem, das Ordnung durch Klarheit schafft. Die bewusst reduzierte Gestaltung verzichtet auf Rücken- und Seitenwände und präsentiert Bücher, Objekte oder Kunstbände wie in einer modernen Vitrine – offen, übersichtlich und leicht zugänglich.

Dank seiner stabilen, flachen Böden eignet sich das Regal hervorragend als stilvoller Raumteiler oder als durchgehendes Element entlang einer Wand. Mit seiner idealen Höhe lässt es sich zudem als Steharbeitsplatz nutzen. Die mittleren Böden sind in der Höhe verstellbar – perfekt für großformatige Fotobände oder besondere Sammlerstücke.
