Das Spiel richtet sich an 2 bis 6 Spieler und bringt Spannung und taktischen Spielspaß an den Spieleabend. Ziel ist es, als Erster drei verschiedene Schätze – bronzene, silberne und goldene Gegenstände – in seinem Reich zu sammeln. Zu Beginn erhält jeder Spieler fünf Karten auf die Hand. Pro Runde führt jeder Spieler zwei Aktionen aus wie das Ausspielen von Karten, das Entfernen von Karten aus einem Reich oder das Austauschen von Handkarten mit dem Nachziehstapel. Karten verfügen über Auftritts- und Abgangswerte, die durch Würfelwürfe erreicht oder überboten werden müssen, um erfolgreich ins Spiel gebracht oder entfernt zu werden. Verschiedene Kartenarten wie Gefährten, Ereignisse und Fallen beeinflussen die Würfe und den Spielverlauf. Der Ablauf ist einfach gehalten, die Regeln klar strukturiert, sodass das Spiel auch für Neueinsteiger leicht zugänglich ist. Mit einer kompakten Kartenspiel-Box eignet sich Krallen und Fallen ideal als Mitbringsel oder Reisebegleiter und bereichert jede Spielesammlung mit taktischem Fantasy-Kartenspielspaß für Familie und Freunde.
