Psychopsis Mariposa ist ein eleganter Hybrid, bekannt für seine spektakulären, schmetterlingsförmigen Blüten in warmen Gelb-, Braun- und Rottönen. Die Blüten erscheinen einzeln an langen, langlebigen Blütenständen, die über mehrere Jahre aktiv bleiben können.

Typisch für diese Gattung ist die Fähigkeit, nacheinander neue Blüten aus demselben Blütenstand zu entwickeln, was zu einer besonders langen Blütezeit führt.

Die Pflanze bevorzugt warme Temperaturen, hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit und helles, indirektes Licht. Eine gleichmäßige Wasserversorgung mit leichtem Antrocknen zwischen den Wassergaben fördert gesundes Wachstum und regelmäßige Blütenbildung.
