Diese Frage stellt die Fotokünstlerin JeongMee Yoon (*1969, Seoul) in ihrer Arbeit The Pink and Blue Project, für die sie 2005 koreanische und amerikanische Mädchen und Jungen in ihren Kinderzimmern zu fotografieren begann. Die geschlechtsspezifischen Farbschemen stellten sich schnell als ein übergreifendes Phänomen heraus, unabhängig vom kulturellen oder ethnischen Hintergrund. Yoons eindrucksvolle Porträts, für die sie die pinken bzw. blauen Gegenstände über Stunden sorgfältig arrangierte, hinterfragen diese Farbcodes und die Konsumgewohnheiten von Kindern und Eltern. Sie decken Zusammenhänge zwischen Geschlecht und sozialen Normen, Konsumkultur und Medien auf.Für die Fortsetzung des Projekts hat sie die Kinder Jahre später wieder besucht und fotografisch festgehalten, wie sich ihre Lieblingsfarbe verändert hat. JeongMee Yoon wurde für ihr Projekt mit dem Preis der ILWOO Foundation ausgezeichnet.

Hard to judge thickness with only dimensions to go by

Very nice quality, just what I hoped for. But it's just too thick for me. I'm thinking of using my electric knife to try to skim enough off to be usable. I've slept most of my life on latex pillows and have not enjoyed using other pillows.

Good pillow, but too high for my neck

I love the Talalay latex for the quality, and that there is no smell. However, it is too high for my neck. I wish the company would make it in a 3" version, instead of just 5.5". They do have a "slim" version, but it is not even the same kind of pillow. It measures 2.5" and the back side is completely flat, so you can not turn it in over for use. The company basically took this 5.5" version and cut it in half for the slim.
