TENS 7000 Sport Recovery Unit — TENS, EMS & Massage

By Carex / TENS 7000

3-in-1 Therapy: TENS + EMS + Massage  |  42 Built-In Programs (12 TENS / 18 EMS / 12 Massage)  |  Dual Channel — Up to 4 Electrodes  |  20 Intensity Levels  |  USB-C Rechargeable  |  Compact & Portable  |  Engineered for Athletic Recovery

The TENS 7000 Sport Recovery Unit combines three distinct electrotherapy modalities in a single device, purpose-built for athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and anyone managing muscle soreness, fatigue, or activity-related pain. TENS mode (12 programs) blocks pain signals and promotes natural endorphin release for drug-free pain management. EMS mode (18 programs) delivers stronger electrical stimulation to activate and strengthen muscles, support explosive movement performance, and improve circulation. Massage mode (12 programs) provides soothing, relaxation-focused stimulation — including acupuncture and finger-pressure simulation patterns — to ease tension and support post-workout recovery. Dual channels accommodate up to four electrode pads simultaneously, allowing bilateral muscle group treatment or full-body coverage in a single session. 20 intensity levels provide precise control from mild to strong stimulation. USB-C rechargeable lithium-ion battery eliminates the need for disposable batteries. Compact and portable design fits in a gym bag or backpack. Includes the unit, 4 premium electrode pads, rechargeable battery with USB-C charging cable, pad holder, and carry case.

Key Features

  • 3-in-1 electrotherapy — TENS, EMS, and Massage modes in one device cover pain relief, muscle strengthening, and relaxation without needing separate units for each function
  • Dual channel, up to 4 electrodes — treat two separate muscle groups simultaneously (e.g., both shoulders, or lower back and hip), or use all four electrodes on a single larger muscle group for more comprehensive coverage
  • 20 intensity levels — fine control from very mild sensation to strong stimulation, allowing users to find their effective and comfortable level for each mode and session
  • 42 built-in programs — pre-set protocols eliminate the need to manually configure pulse duration, frequency, and pattern for common use cases
  • USB-C rechargeable lithium-ion battery — no disposable batteries to buy or replace; charges via the same USB-C cable used by most modern phones and electronics
  • Compact, portable design — fits easily in a gym bag, backpack, or travel kit for use at the gym, on the road, or after activity wherever it's needed

Clinical FAQs

What is the actual difference between TENS, EMS, and Massage modes, and how do I choose which one to use?

These three modes work through different mechanisms and serve different purposes, even though they all use electrical stimulation through the same electrode pads. TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) delivers a mild electrical current designed to interfere with pain signal transmission to the brain and stimulate the release of endorphins, the body's natural pain-relieving chemicals. TENS does not cause visible muscle contraction — it works on the nerve and pain perception level. Use TENS when the primary goal is pain relief itself: post-workout soreness, joint discomfort, nerve-related pain, or general activity-related aches. EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) delivers a stronger current specifically designed to cause visible, involuntary muscle contractions — similar to what happens during voluntary muscle activation, but driven electrically. EMS is used to activate, strengthen, and condition muscle tissue, support circulation to fatigued muscle, and assist in muscle recovery and performance work. Use EMS when the goal is muscle activation or conditioning rather than pain relief specifically. Massage mode uses patterned electrical stimulation designed to mimic the sensation of manual massage techniques — including specific patterns simulating acupuncture point stimulation and finger-pressure techniques. Massage mode is the most relaxation-focused of the three, aimed at easing tension and knots and providing a comfortable, soothing sensation rather than pain blocking or muscle conditioning. Many users move through a sequence during a recovery session: EMS to engage and work fatigued muscle, TENS to manage resulting soreness, and Massage mode to finish with relaxation.

How should the dual channels and four electrodes be used for different body areas?

Each channel on the TENS 7000 Sport Recovery operates independently and can power up to two electrode pads. This gives two practical configurations. The first is bilateral treatment — placing one channel's pair of electrodes on one side of the body (for example, the left shoulder) and the second channel's pair on the mirrored area on the other side (the right shoulder), allowing simultaneous treatment of symmetric muscle groups such as both shoulders, both hamstrings, or both sides of the lower back. The second configuration is expanded single-area coverage — placing all four electrodes around a single larger muscle group or painful area, such as positioning two pads above and two pads below a knee or surrounding a larger back muscle group, to create a broader stimulation field across that one area. The intensity and program settings can be adjusted per channel in many TENS/EMS combo units, allowing different intensity levels on each side if one area needs stronger stimulation than the other. Electrode placement should generally follow the muscle fibers or surround the painful area without placing pads directly over the spine, on broken skin, or near the heart, throat, or eyes.

Who should avoid using a TENS/EMS device, and are there safety precautions to follow?

TENS and EMS devices are generally safe for healthy adults when used as directed, but certain populations should not use them without physician guidance. Contraindications include: anyone with a pacemaker, implantable defibrillator, or other electronic medical implant (the electrical current can interfere with device function); pregnant women, particularly avoiding use over the abdomen or lower back; anyone with epilepsy or a history of seizures; individuals with active cancer in the treatment area; people with deep vein thrombosis or active bleeding disorders; and anyone with skin conditions, open wounds, or rashes in the area where pads would be placed. Electrodes should never be placed on the front or sides of the neck (carotid sinus area), directly over the eyes, over the heart, on the head, internally, or over areas of numbness or impaired sensation where the user cannot accurately judge intensity. Users should start at the lowest intensity level and increase gradually rather than starting at a high setting. If skin irritation, unusual pain, or discomfort occurs, stimulation should be stopped and the area checked. Anyone with a chronic medical condition, recent surgery, or uncertainty about whether TENS/EMS use is appropriate for their situation should consult a physician or physical therapist before beginning use.

Do it yourself
Size: 38"Height × 14" Wide
I purchased a similar set to custom make a dining room table out of butcher block, and it turned out perfect. So with the left over butcher block I purchased these legs and made the perfect kitchen island to match. It is very sturdy and a great price. Everyone wants to know where I purchased it from. I also put a piece of the butcher block across the lower bars and made a lower shelf. Love love love this.

Plan your project right & these will look great!
Size: 38"Height × 14" Wide
These are great legs for a table. They are sturdy and go together nicely. The painted finish is well done, meaning it doesn't scratch or peel or come off easily. Also the way things were packaged was considerate of the weight and possibility of damage during shipment. There were even extra attachment screws included which was helpful since I lost one under the dishwasher. When considering what legs to purchase for your particular table, the height, dimensions, and weight of the top all need to be factored in. I used these bar height legs under a very heavy, 7' long X 2' wide top. Common physics dictates that there will be lateral movement between the 2 "H" shaped leg sets. There HAS to be support between the 2 H leg sets to prevent that lateral movement. So these alone will not support a long table very well, because physics. This is not in any way the fault of this product. Be aware that there is more to the stability equation and be prepared to add cross bracing to your project.

Hold my computer desk top repaired
Size: 38"Height × 14" Wide
Counter height table legs are sturdy and it holds a great amount of weight. I was easy to adjust height for the table we needed to be repaired with legs. It was a great choice in repair of computer desk. I had a desk that tore apart because of the press board siding. Took the top of of siding and repaired with these legs. I am totally satisfied
