In 1963 Dai Vernon was invited by The Academy of Magical Arts to move to Hollywood, CA and become the resident "living legend" at the Magic Castle. Upon hearing this news, two young close-up artists packed up and moved cross country to Hollywood, just to sit at the feet of "The Professor". These two men were Bruce Cervon and Larry Jennings. During a three-year period in the early 1960s, they spent every minute they could with Dai Vernon-and each night Bruce Cervon went home and carefully recorded everything he had learned.Cervon's notes grew to fill fourteen large binders. Among the inner circle, these became known as The Castle Notebooks, and their content was much coveted and speculated upon. Within these notebooks were known to lie fabulous secrets and tricks, knowledge gathered and guarded by The Professor over a lifetime in magic that spanned seventy years-secrets that were kept from print and were reserved for the use of a very privileged few.
Beginning with this volume, the legendary Castle Notebooks are being opened to the magical community. Bruce Cervon, with the aid and permission of Dai Vernon, and in co-operation with Larry Jennings and Louis Falanga, is releasing this massive body of invaluable knowledge.
Volume One contains more than fifty sleights, tricks and routines with cards and coins. They are fully explained in these pages for the first time. The material is vintage Vernon, the magic that made him a legend among magicians; expert magic that has made one reputation and will make others. Included are rich insights into the thinking and psychology that is known as "The Vernon Touch," and historical anecdotes that are both entertaining and informative. Numerous rare photos and pieces of memorabilia from The Professor's private collection have been added, as well as a biographical essay on him by Elizabeth Wilson.
There are very few books that recognized as a classic before they reach press, this volume is one such book.
235 pages, hardbound with dustjacket.

They were tough, but not mower blade tough
They were holding up well for my doggy that eats and destroys everything. He was sad when daddy didn't see it in the yard when he mowed. Does not hold up to mower blades sadly enough lol.

Tough, Durable, and Great for Heavy Chewers
The Feeko Heavy Duty Dog Rope Toys (2-pack) have been a great addition for my dog, who is a large breed and absolutely destroys most toys within days. These ropes have held up far better than expected and have become a go-to for daily tug-of-war sessions.
The ropes are thick, tightly woven, and feel genuinely sturdy. Even with constant chewing and pulling, they’ve shown very minimal fraying so far. My dog loves grabbing both ends for tug games, and I like that it keeps him engaged and active.
Another nice bonus is the teeth-cleaning benefit. While it’s not a replacement for dental care, the fibers definitely help reduce some buildup as he chews and plays, which is a nice added perk.
The size is also appropriate for medium to large dogs—easy for them to grip without being too small or flimsy. Having two ropes in the pack is great for rotation or multi-dog households.
The only thing to note is that, like all rope toys, they’re not truly “indestructible.” Very determined power chewers will eventually cause wear over time, so supervision is still recommended.
Overall, this is a durable, well-made set of dog rope toys that holds up well for aggressive chewers and provides great value for the price.

Fun For Your Dog
My Dachshund loves tug of war ropes. Besides playing with them, he likes to chew on them. Maybe these ropes are indestructible with large dogs, but we've had them less than a week and he's already managed to fray knots slightly on both ropes. If it takes him 2+ years to destroy them like his last one, money well spent.

Great value item!
This is a good quality chew toy for most dogs. Our Pitt loves it. Over time, it does shred in little patches of strings. The product was as specified. It has a great value for the money. Our first one lasted about 2 months with a puppy Pitt. We purchased a 2nd.

Well made and durable fun!
Great size for big dogs and are really durable even with aggressive chewers. You do have to replace them when they start to unravel but the set of 2 is great and gives an extra!! But really they last a lot longer than I’d thought. Very happy!
