Before using, press down gently on the garlic until the bottom is evenly placed on the table or cutting board. This prevents the garlic from slipping out, then rock back and forth repeatedly using more pressure and the garlic will be micro cut through the tiny holes of the press blade instead of being crushed, which helps preserve the aromatic oils of the garlic.
The pressed garlic collects in the curved top of the blade after which it can be spooned or scraped straight into your bowl or pan.
To clean, just rinse under warm water or put it in the dishwasher.
