Backyard Weather

Reacting to changes in atmospheric pressure, the station’s six-color forecast icons will help you decide if it is a jacket or sun hat kind of day. Also important, are your outdoor temperature and humidity levels, which are constantly monitored so you know if that BBQ or walk to the beach is a good idea. The forecast area is also equipped with a tree/foliage scene that changes seasonally.

Home Conditions

Your in-home conditions are now more important than ever. With this station’s built-in comfort meter, you’ll be able to know at a glance whether it’s time to fire up the AC to product against dangerous mold growth or mildew, or to run the humidifier if it’s getting too dry in the winter. The convenient real-time indoor temperature and humidity values will also help you make decisions to keep your home safe and comfortable.

Custom Alerts

Do you want to know when the outdoor temperature drops to a certain degree? Or if your indoor humidity is rising? The custom temperature and humidity alerts help you make sure your home and backyard temperature and humidity levels are right where they need to be. Set HI/LO temperature alerts to keep your plants safe from extreme heat or frost. The alerts are also great for monitoring indoor humidity levels to help you protect what matters most.

HI/LO Records

Take notes from last year’s gardening season. Review HI/LO temperature and humidity records and check time/date stamps so you can plan your planting schedule accordingly. Concerned about fluctuating temperature levels in your home? Check recent indoor records to see if your thermostat needs to be adjusted.

Precise Atomic Time & Date

This station also covers the days’ basics with 12/24-hour atomic time, calendar, and a full day of the week display. When using the atomic time function, the unit will automatically search and synchronize with the WWVB radio signal that the National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) broadcasts continuously from Fort Collins, Colorado. When connected with this signal, the display will always show the precise time and date as well as automatically update for Daylight Saving Time changes.

Auto-Dim Feature

Use the station’s built-in auto-dim feature to customize when the LCD backlight will automatically dim and turn back on to its normal daytime brightness setting. Perfect for those setting this up in a bedroom or other area where a bright backlight may be inconvenient at night.

Moon Phase

Also included on the beautiful color LCD is a moon phase presentation. Controlled by the date information, this moon phase feature will accurately display the type of moon you can expect on each given night.

Bonus Display

This station includes a compact bonus display, which offers indoor/outdoor temperature, indoor humidity, HI/LO records, and 12/24-hour time. The bonus display uses the same outdoor sensor, so no extra setup is required (a $15 value).
