The Eventuri Honda FK8 Type R intake is the product of extensive design iterations, developed through rigorous dyno testing and flow analysis. It was engineered to achieve two key objectives: 1) Maintain low inlet temperatures, and 2) Remove restrictions in the turbo inlet path.
To meet the first goal, the intake features an enclosed filter inside a carbon airbox, utilising the stock seal against the hood to prevent heat soak from the engine. Given that the intake is positioned directly behind the radiator, protecting the filter from exposure is essential to avoid power loss due to high intake air temperatures (IAT).
The second objective was achieved by eliminating the flexible tubing and optimising the inlet path with a Venturi stack, which connects directly to the filter. Additionally, a second inlet was added to the airbox, with a scoop drawing air from the inner wing area. This nearly doubles the total cross-sectional area available for the turbo to draw air, compared to the single entry found on the stock system.
The carbon airbox enclosure has been meticulously designed to maximise the available space while blocking all potential heat sources. The result is industry-leading performance gains and aesthetics for the FK8 Type R.
