Featuring a smooth finish, the unit is 18 1 8 inches by 33 1 8 inches in size. The grab bars are crafted from 18 gauge stainless steel tubing that has an attractive satin finish to cut down on fingerprints, while still giving the unit an attractive gleam. At either end of the grab bar is a flange that is 3 1 8 inches in diameter. Each flange is made from type 304

The ASI 3874 is a horizontal grab bar unit that measures 1-1/2 inches in diameter. Featuring a smooth finish, the unit is 18-1/8 inches by 33-1/8 inches in size. The grab bars are crafted from 18-gauge stainless steel tubing that has an attractive satin finish to cut down on fingerprints, while still giving the unit an attractive gleam. At either end of the grab bar is a flange that is 3-1/8 inches in diameter. Each flange is made from type-304 stainless steel that is 1/8 of an inch thick and securely herliarc welded to the stainless steel tubing. The grab bar features a pair of snap-on flange covers made of type-304, 22-gauge stainless steel. Measuring 3-3/16 inches in diameter, the flange covers slide downward and snap over the flange once the unit is installed. The secure fit of the cover conceals the mounting hardware, protecting the grab bar from tampering and acts of vandalism.

Do not leave it in a warm environment, like hot car or pants pockets, it will get very soft. If it does get soft, i just dab it on ranther than rolling/wiping on. Also its best to roll it down when not in use, but not necessary. I used to be addicted to Vaseline products for my lips and this is far superior in many ways.
