Installation Guide

  1. Disconnect Power: Disconnect the battery leads and remove the engine cover to prevent accidental starting.
  2. Remove Lower Unit: Drain the gearcase oil, then unbolt and carefully detach the lower unit from the outboard's midsection.
  3. Access Pump: Locate the water pump housing on top of the lower unit and remove its mounting bolts.
  4. Disassemble Old Pump: Lift off the housing and remove the old impeller, wear plate, gaskets, and insert cup. Note the orientation of the impeller vanes.
  5. Clean Surfaces: Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces, removing any old gasket material or corrosion.
  6. Install New Components: Install the new insert cup and gaskets. Slide the new impeller onto the drive shaft, turning it in the direction of engine rotation to bend the vanes correctly.
  7. Reassemble Pump: Install the new housing and tighten the bolts to the manufacturer-specified torque in a crisscross pattern.
  8. Reinstall Lower Unit: Align the drive shaft and shift shaft, then carefully guide the lower unit back into place and secure it.
  9. Final Checks: Refill the gearcase oil, reconnect the battery, and attach a water supply. Start the engine and confirm that water is exiting the tell-tale port, indicating proper pump function.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

How do I confirm this kit fits my engine?
First, check the compatible engine range listed at the top of this page. Then, find your specific engine model and year in the "Compatible Engine Models" table. Cross-referencing your existing part number with our "Part Number Cross-Reference" table is the best way to guarantee a match.

What are the signs of a failing water pump?
Common symptoms include the engine overheating at idle or low speeds, a weak or non-existent water stream from the "tell-tale" outlet, and an audible alarm from the engine's warning system. Visible damage to the old impeller, such as cracked or missing vanes, also indicates a need for replacement.

How often should the water pump impeller be replaced?
As a general maintenance guideline, we recommend inspecting the impeller annually and replacing it every 1-2 years or every 100-200 hours of use, whichever comes first. This interval can be shorter if you frequently operate in sandy, silty, or saltwater conditions.

OEM vs. Aftermarket?
This listing is an aftermarket replacement part (not an OEM component). We build to OEM specifications using comparable-grade materials. Production is done in an ISO9002-certified facility, and each batch is inspected for consistent performance.

How fast do you ship and how much does it cost?
We offer fast global shipping—typically 5–15 days worldwide—and standard shipping is free. Expedited options are available at checkout depending on your location.

What is your warranty and return policy?
This product includes a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects under normal use. If something goes wrong, contact our support team with your order details. Returns are accepted within our standard return window (unused & in original condition); please see our policy page or reach out for instructions.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger
