Originally released in 1970 as the studio companion to From Memphis to Vegas / From Vegas to Memphis, Back In Memphis showcases Elvis Presley’s soulful side with material recorded at American Sound Studio in 1969. Far from being a collection of leftovers, the album features fan-favorite deep cuts like Percy Mayfield’s “Stranger In My Own Home Town” and the tender “And The Grass Won’t Pay No Mind.” This 2026 reissue is part of Music On Vinyl’s Elvis back catalogue campaign, pressed on 180 gram green coloured vinyl and housed in a deluxe linen laminate sleeve. Limited to 1500 individually numbered copies, it’s a must-have for collectors of Elvis’ Memphis-era recordings.
