The difference here is that the color is doing two jobs at once. This is paint protection film, not vinyl, so the same layer that gives you the red also takes the hits. Rock chips, road grime, light scratches, bug splatter and wash swirls land on the film instead of your factory paint. You get the new color you want and the original paint stays sealed and safe underneath.
