With fast acting Extinguish Plus Fire Ant Bait you can gain control over invasive imported and/or native fire ants, harvester ants and Argentine ants with by harnessing the powerful effects of the Hydramethylnon. Extinguish Fire Ant Bait is highly attractive to fire ants which lead them to not only ingesting it themselves, but also taking it back to the queen.
With the any killing speed of an adulticide (Hydramethylnon) and the long-lasting control of an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) (S-Methoprene) the queen is sterilized awhile the fast-acting adulticide kills pesky worker ants. This two-way action ensures complete control of fire ants.

How To Get Rid of Ants?
Spring and fall will be the ideal seasons to apply bait, but it can also be used whenever you find it to be necessary to kill ants. Extinguish is designed to work when ants are active and foraging which usually means applications should be in the early morning or late afternoon when soil temperature is in excess of 60° F.
Outdoor Application of Ant Bait:
- To determine if ants are active place a potato chip near the mound and observe. If plants begin feeding with minutes you can successfully use Extinguish Ant Bait. Do not apply if feeding does not occur.

- Do not apply in areas that are already moist and do apply product within 6 hours of precipitation being expected as ants are not attracted to wet bait.
Indoor Application of Ant Bait:
If you choose to do so ONLY apply ant bait into small cracks and crevices. Apply 2 teaspoons - 1 tablespoon per crack, crevice or other in accessible areas where ants are entering the structure or where ants are nesting. Avoid over baiting indoors as this may cause ants to enter your home when they wouldn't otherwise.
Ant Bait Station Application
- Place your refillable bait station along the perimeter of the location you have seen ant activity. These are areas where ants travel in lines such as along walls, windows or on a countertop.
- Place up to 2 tablespoons of bait per station.
- Check your ant bait station regularly. If the bait has been consumed refill to original amount.
- If bait remains for 2 weeks or more replace with fresh bait and consider placing in a new location.
No grazing restrictions for companion animals. (horses, llamas etc).
Extinguish Plus Fire Ant Bait - 1 lb jar has increased to a 1.5 lb container.
