A fascinating biographical monograph of Charles J. Stick, the Virginia-based landscape architect renowned for his historically and culturally based gardens filled with luxuriant bloomsCharles Stick lives and works in the Piedmont region of Virginia, a land of rolling hills and dramatic vistas filled with echoes of the early history of America. Stick draws on all of this in his designs, which refer back to the classical designs of Thomas Jefferson at Monticello and the University of Virginia.Stick focuses on residential gardens, drawing on the principles of Palladio, Charles A. Platt, and Russell Page to connect the architecture to the land and develop enticing pathways between the formal planting and the landscape beyond. This new book is the first to explore and bring together four major estates-Crab Tree Farm on the North Shore of Chicago, Illinois; Mount Sharon near Charlottesville, Virginia; Sleepy Cat Farm in Greenwich, Connecticut; and Waverley, a previously unpublished farm in Central Virginia-offering new insights into the design process and the intimacy of his client relationships. Ten featured smaller gardens also demonstrate the breadth of Stick's creative response to topography and climate. The book's glamorous package includes lush garden imagery from noted photographers, including Roger Foley and T.S. Elliott, together with Stick's elegant pencil renderings and plans. Featuring gardens in prominent communities across the United States, including Isleboro, Greenwich, Southampton, Jupiter Island, Winnetka, and Dallas, as well as Stick's home base in Virginia, and first-person commentary from Stick giving a unique personal dimension to the work, this volume is perfect for all garden enthusiasts and horticulturalists.

Super fun!
Size: 8.5, Color: Red Pepper
These are so fantastic! The color is amazing! It is a bit on the tomato-red side of the color-wheel. The fit is great. They are comfortable from the 1st step. Easy to walk in.

Love the look but runs narrow
Size: 7 Toddler, Color: Navy, Size: 7 Toddler, Color: Navy
Obsessed with the navy, it literally goes with everything. Quality is great too, really happy with how they’re made. Super cute too. Only thing is my son has wide feet and they ran a little tight on him. If your toddler is on the wider side, might be worth sizing up. Overall still happy with them!

Snug fit with ease of putting on
Size: 7 Toddler, Color: Navy, Size: 7 Toddler, Color: Navy
These Amazon Essentials hook-and-loop athletic sneakers have been a fantastic everyday shoe for toddlers and little kids. The fit and comfort really stand out. The padded collar and cushioned insole make them comfortable enough for all-day wear, whether that’s running around at school, playing at the park, or just being on the move at home. One of the biggest wins is how easy they are for kids to put on themselves. The hook-and-loop closure combined with the faux elastic laces strikes a great balance between a secure fit and independence, which is a huge plus for busy mornings. They stay snug without being tight and don’t slip off during active play. The materials feel well made for a kid’s sneaker. The faux leather and mesh upper looks sporty and holds up well to daily wear, while the mesh lining helps with breathability. The TPR sole provides good traction and stability, giving a solid, supportive feel without being stiff or heavy. Style-wise, these shoes are versatile and cute. The athletic look with subtle vintage-inspired details works with everything from play clothes to more put-together casual outfits. Overall, these sneakers deliver comfort, durability, and kid-friendly design at a great value. A reliable, no-fuss choice for active little feet.
