1942年戰時產品監督局（W.P.B.）命令美國國內企業簡化服裝用料、金屬等材料。Lee雖然有給美軍提供工作服，但也難免要控制物資。所以就生産了這款“101 Cowboy Jacket WWII”
鈕扣使的用了無鍍層月桂鈕扣，而Lee引以為傲的三本針也改成了雙針。胸袋的翻蓋採用圓形設計，以減少縫紉過程和難度。經典的後背巴黎扣消失了，留下了鉚釘和打褶後背。
