SCS-1000 CHIRP Echo Sounder Module

Turns your chartplotter into a CHIRP Echo Sounder The SI-TEX CHIRP Echo Sounder is designed to be easily connected and combined with SI-TEX NavPro multifunction chartplotters* to turn it into an Echo Sounder.

Transducer compatibility

CHIRP Echo Sounder is compatible with both AIRMAR CHIRP and CW transducers, and with Radarsonics CW transducers. It can be coupled with various types of transducers: plastic stern thru hull, in hull, or bronze thru hull.

Operation frequency & display mode

Operation frequency may vary depending on the model of transducers. CHIRP Echo Sounder supports double frequency mode for CW transducers. Dual mode splits the "Fish Finder" page into two parts. Each part displays the echogram for the predefined frequency.

Automatic detection

CHIRP Echo Sounder automatically detects the connected AIRMAR transducers. The Xducer ID® detection system automatically selects the power output and configures the parameters to suit the transducer.

Advanced filtering

CHIRP Echo Sounder features advanced filtering, that eliminates unwanted noise and sharpens echoes to enhance separation and detection.

Zero line

CHIRP Echo Sounder supports Zero Line rejection: Depending on the transmission line of a transducer, you can increase or decrease "Zero Line Area" values.

History

CHIRP Echo Sounder allows access to the echoes history received by the transducer. Frequency view history includes approximately 2048 echoes.

Point on map

CHIRP Echo Sounder supports point on map function. This feature allows the user to place a Mark on the echogram and then find and check it later on the map.

*Compatible with: Explorer NavPro, NavPro-900, NavPro-1200 Only

Nice, but...
Color: Orange
It's a good idea & keeps my 1yr old Staffy/Pit occupied, BUT... The rubber around the ball is either too easy to chew through or my pup is just an aggressive chewer. Either way, it's a plus that it does come with an additional rubber, but it would be nice to also be able to buy additional ones vs having to buy the whole toy again & again! Oh, & if you think about letting them play with it without the rubber please be on the lookout for the rubber covering where you would charge it because my pup managed to locate & destroy that cover piece as well haha!

Entertains my husky!
After some research, I decided on this interactive toy for my young husky. I chose it over others because I liked that it was wrapped in a silicone cover so it wouldn't be as hard on her teeth, or my floors. It also seems to have helped with durability. She's never had this sort of automated toy before to engage with and it surprised her at first, but then she really got into it: pawing and nosing and sometimes howling at it. I was worried it would drive her and/or me crazy, but so far so good. She will play with it for a good 10 minutes at a time and it seems to provide some good mental stimulation since it rolls and spins unpredictably. It is easy to charge and was ready to use right out of the box. It has proved durable in the first week surviving my crazy pup and multiple trips down the stairs. I am also happy to report that it has worked pretty well on the carpet/rug areas of the home. It should work pretty well unless you have a very thick shag carpet. We'll see how long it lasts, but highly recommend so far.

Did not last
Color: Orange
Disapointing, thought toy would last longer. Lucy is a very small puppy. I recharged about five times, then toy would not recharge... it died.

Not good for heavy chewers.
Color: Orange
Granted, my dog is very big. 95 lbs, however the ball was advertised as good for large dogs. The first day of play, he chewed the outer covering off. The ball still works fine, so if it doesn’t matter if it keeps the outer covering in tack, it will be fine.
