| Product Description | _x000D_ HS type _x000D_ The high level fusion of stability and brake performance. _x000D_ HS type is the high end model by DIXCEL, which demonstrates high performance in all situations from the streets to the race circuit. _x000D_ DIXCEL combined the benefits of both the heat treatment (stability) and slots (brake performance) to create a superior brake disc, the HS type. _x000D_ On the streets, the slots makes it possible to achieve high levels of friction even at low temperatures. At the race circuit, high level of friction can be achieved along with high stability for an extended amount of time with the heat treatment. _x000D_ The 6 slots brake disc is adopted as standard in the HS type by considering various factors, such as pad wear, squeal and the removal effect of gas at the fading. | Remarks | NR-A _x000D_ The heat treatment does not directly improve brake performance. The heat treatment increases the disc resistance against strains and thermal cracking. It also helps maintain stable brake performance for a extended period of time. _x000D_ The surface of the heat treated brake discs has a burnt colour. Once it is used, the burnt surface will be removed by the pad, and changes back to the colour of normal cast iron. Please be aware that the effect of the heat treatment of the disc will not disappear even if the surface colour changes. _x000D_ 12 slots version (HST type) is available as a special order. The surcharge of 12 slots is JPY6,000 (w / o tax). _x000D_ our processing of the rotor, we have shipped in the above package. Were shipped in the package other than the above-mentioned "secondary processed products (slit, heat treatment, dimples, etc.)" will be our warranty. _x000D_ rotor is an image. Worth it!
Perfect fit for my 23 MDX, easy to install and great value for money. Dealership quoted me a ridiculous amount to replace the air filter. I would recommend everyone to DIY. Bought it together with the cabin air filter. Will definitely keep an eye on longevity. These are washable so probably wont need to buy for at least a couple years.

A Great Filter (Installed on a 2014 Acura RDX)
I installed this on a 2015 Acura RDX and it has been a fine replacement for the original air filter. The filter offers a good value and resembles the filter that it replaced and seems to be an equivalent replacement in every way. It fit into the housing perfectly and was just as easy to replace as the original filter was. The white color of the filter also makes it easy to see if an excess of dirt has built up on the filter.
I'd recommend this filter. The materials are good, it offers equivalent functionality, and great value for the money.

Excellent quality and price
The picture above is of two different brand engine air filters. One is a Fram Extra Guard and the other is the KAX filter, which costs half as much. Can you tell which one is the cheaper KAX filter? There may be a difference in material that is not visible, but they feel and look the same. It seems like a safe bet to try out the KAX and see how well it performs/lasts.
