"Tasted previously this is still a delicious wine with core aromas and flavours of red berries and plum, there’s layers of spice and oak influences, polished tannins and a seam of acidity that carries flavour and texture. Precise and salivating, gently saline and perfectly balanced. Rather delicious, a wine that will continue to age well from day of purchase through 2032" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Mar 2024

Bright ruby red. A beautiful perfume of ripe blackberry, black cherry, boysenberry, and dark plums, layered with hints of violets, vanilla, and cocoa spice, alongside subtle earthy notes and a whisper of liquorice. A big, generous mouthful of concentrated dark berry fruit, supported by firm, grippy tannins give a wine with structure and power. Spicy oak and juicy acidity round out the palate, promising the ability to age gracefully for many years. Drink now or cellar for two years for optimum drinking. Cellar up to 8 years.

A strong El Nino weather pattern dominated in 2024, causing strong westerly winds and warm, very dry conditions down NZ’s east coast. Vine growth began later than previous years and a couple of very cold nights in early October caused a touch of frost damage in the Southern Valleys. Flowering was relatively light, and it quickly became clear that the harvest would be much smaller than 2022 or 2023. Warm weather began in mid-December and continued right through to March, causing one of the shortest ripening periods on record. However clear, cold nights retained fruit acidity during ripening. Harvest was short and sharp. Our first pick was Pinot Gris on the 8th March and the last block of Sauvignon Blanc from the Upper Awatere was picked on 31st March. All the 2024 fruit was packed with flavour and absolutely no sign of disease due to the amazing growing conditions. It was an ideal vintage! The vineyard sites for this wine are in drier, more sheltered locations with even soils, leading to beautiful consistent ripeness in the fruit.

The grapes for this Pinot Noir were grown in Marlborough’s Southern Valleys. The fruit was predominantly hand-harvested over a two week period from mid to late March as optimum ripeness was reached in each block. At the winery, the fruit was de-stemmed into small open-top fermenters and cold soaked for 5 to 10 days. The juice was then fermented with indigenous yeasts, and plunged by hand once a day to extract a good amount of colour and tannins. It was pressed immediately upon reaching dryness and a portion was transferred to French oak barrels for maturation. After a full malolactic fermentation in spring, the wine was bottled in late March 2025.

Nice, sturdy, convenient cutting boards
My daughter and her fiance do a lot of cooking, and really like the quality and sizes of these cutting boards. I got a similar set last year, and I like how they have held up. I also like the holder. Just wash and oil them occasionally and they should last many years.

Not a happy customer
Color: Brown, Size: 14.9"L x 0.6"W
If you are looking for nice size cutting boards, then these are not for you! They are very small and I didnt like the etching on the cutting boards, they will get filled with things you are cutting. What I least didn't liked don't know if its Amazon fault or the vendor? But the item came in the original box the boards were in, the the top part of the box was open. Everything was in the box but the label was on the box. When I returned it to the UPS store they wanted to charge me$10.19 for a box even though it was shipped without a box finally convinced them to put in a large envelope and they still charge me $2.75. Not happy at all with this vendor or maybe Amazon?
