The Fidora family are now into their fourth generation of wine producers. In 1974 Guido Fidora decided to convert the family estate into one which embraces organic agriculture. In the 1970’s the concept of “organic” wine making was not well understood or practiced. There was little organic wine making expertise to draw upon so they have learnt through hard work, trial and error. Today the estate is one of the oldest examples of organic-vineyard cultivation in Italy and the oldest one in Veneto region.

Fidora produce wines using certified organic grapes which means no artificial herbicides and pesticides in the vineyard, allowing the freshness of the fruit to shine through. Fidora Pinot Grigio and Prosecco is produced from grapes in their Civranetta and Collagu Estates. Fidora Valpolicella reds are produced from grapes from Fumane and Montorio vines which are closer to Verona.

Food Pairing: This is an ideal aperitif wine, paired with shellfish and raw or fried fish. It goes well with light cheeses and white meats.
