The factory drive-by-wire system actually dulls down throttle response and, in turn, makes the engine feel as though it's lacking power until a certain throttle percentage is achieved. The Mace throttle controller eliminates this delay that exists between the throttle pedal and the butterfly in the throttle body, re-establishing throttle response and bottom-end acceleration.
