It is used by carvers to shape, sharpen and hone V-tools, veiners and gouges, but it can put a nice edge on serrated knives as well. The stone comes in a protective case with a small bottle of light mineral oil. Stone can be used with or without lubrication, but we suggest light oil, which will keep the stone’s surface fresh and free from glazing that could potentially diminish the stone’s performance.

RH Preyda’s 100% natural Arkansas stones are made from Novaculite quarried in the Ouachita Mountains, near Hot Springs, Arkansas. The unique cryptocrystalline structure and density are the keys to the stones retaining their effective abrasion characteristics and shapes with what amounts to minimal care.

Arkansas stones are graded on hardness and not grit, but grit is an easier concept for most to grasp so a grit equivalent is offered as a comparison to synthetic stones. The grit range of natural stones will vary, so in most cases a range of grit is offered – again as a comparison to synthetic stones.

Great with a great price

First off. I am female 5’10”. I thought the extra large fit great. The material is very soft and light. I think they’re warm though. I just washed them for the first time yesterday with dryer. Air dry. I’d like to see after a couple washes and know how the dryer affects it.

Wide, feminine neck

I ordered Medium, as I usually wear. I’m 5’11” 175lbs. The neck was very wide and cut semi/deep. It looked like a woman’s workout shirt.
The material looks and feels nice, and other than the neck it fit true to size. I returned it because of how they fit in the neck.
