Electro-Harmonix has reissued the original Version 1 Big Muff dubbed the Triangle because of the layout of its Volume, Sustain and Tone controls. The pedal is a faithful re-creation of the original circa 1969 circuit now housed in a pedalboard friendly, die cast chassis.

According to Electro-Harmonix founder, Mike Matthews, “The Big Muff Pi is the pedal we are best known for so I wanted to commemorate EHX’s 50th Anniversary (1968-2018) by re-releasing V1, the very first Big Muff that started it all. Original pedals are now selling for hundreds of dollars and this reissue absolutely nails that creamy, violin-like sustain and musical tone at a price a working musician can afford.”

    Clyburn captures the past to warn us about the present and future.

    I enjoy this book. The history of white Conservatives first taking the black vote away by domestic terrorism and violence and then changing the rules to make getting the vote back nearly impossible explains the 70 year gap between the first eight and the ninth (Clyburn). He mixes the past record of lying and dirty tricks of Conservatives with current events that attempt to bring about the same result. Thanks for all of your work in bringing this great history. It should admonish all of us to work to make sure we don't fall victim to the lying and dirty tricks of the Conservatives of the present.
