The highly secure 3.5" Aegis 4TB Padlock DT FIPS External Desktop Drive from Apricorn features an easy to use keypad design making it simple to secure your important data using a seven to sixteen digit pin code. Real-time 256-bit XTS AES hardware encryption ensures data remains secure even if the hard drive is removed from the enclosure. The aluminum enclosure the drive sits in features a USB 3.0 interface for SuperSpeed data transfers while the 8MB cache memory buffer and 12 ms average seek time provide consistent drive performance. This secure hard drive can even withstand operating shock of up to 300 G (2 ms) to keep data safe and secure when on the go.

- Forced Enrolment PIN
- The Aegis Padlock DT FIPS elevates your data security by placing a Forced Enrolment PIN feature at the front end of the setup process. Since there is no factory-preset admin PIN number, a unique admin password must be created and entered to begin the initial drive setup.
- Administrator Feature
- The drive allows for one admin PIN and up to four unique user PINS, making it a suitable conduit for secure business collaboration. With the Admin PIN, the administrator is able to enter variable settings and permissions on the drive
- Brute-Force Self Destruct
- The Aegis Padlock uses a three-pronged approach to protect against a Brute-Force attack. The first step is to deny access to the drive until the drive can verify the user PIN. After several incorrect attempts, the drive will lock itself, requiring the drive to be disconnected and then reconnected again to retry a PIN entry. This feature blocks automated attempts to enter PIN numbers. Lastly, after a predetermined number of failed PIN entries, the Padlock assumes it is being attacked and will destroy the encryption key and will then lock itself, rendering the data is useless and requiring a total reset to redeploy the device

- Protection against hacker attempts does not stop with Brute-Force. Incorporated into the Aegis Padlock's electronics is Apricorn's Variable Time Circuit (VTC) technology, working to thwart timing attacks aimed at accessing the drive by studying the behavior and infiltrating the Padlock's electronics

Perfect for Pilots

I work in aviation and got these because they have a very top gun, fresh-esque look. The glass is solid, I’ve dropped them a few times and haven’t scratched them yet (from August - March). Fits perfectly under my headset and they can slide on and off pretty easily with the headset on. I can see the G1000 perfectly, without losing any of the panel as I did with my polarized glasses.
Good shades - slightly too small for my face, hence the four stars.

Just perfect.

I saw this model of Ray Bans while watching Top Gun: Maverick. Actor John Hamm (Cyclone, in the movie) sported these during the beach scene. I looked for them here in Amazon and was lucky to find them for less than $100. They fit just great, and the lenses (G-15), give a clear and high definition picture. I definitely recommend them, perfect for driving, cycling, or your next F/A-18 mission.

Almost like they used to be...

These are the 3rd pair of Caravans I've owned over the years. The 1st pair were chrome frames and got mangled one time when I had set them on the trunk of the car to fill-up and drove away without them. Went back after only 100 yards or so, but by then they had been clipped by another car and were toast. Kept the lenses, sent the frame back to B&L (when they were still in Rochester -- and when customer service really WAS important to the company) and they sent back a brand-new pair of black-framed beauties -- FOR FREE!
This pair recently experienced a broken frame - right at the junction of the lower curved piece that holds the lens frames together. (How this happened, I have no idea. I was wearing them. Put them in my shirt pocket. Took them out, put them on, and the lens was still in my pocket!) Now, Bausch & Lomb is owned by Luxottica (in Atlanta, GA.) Not entirely friendly, I would say, especially in the tone of the service rep's voice and bluntness. And I was told my only hope of getting any kind of satisfaction was to ship the broken pair to them and after examination they would decide whether it was a manufacturing defect or a customer caused one. Believe me -- there are NO damage marks on these black frames. The frame just cracked due to what? Fatigue, I guess. If judged in my favor they'd give me a substantial discount (40%, I believe) off list price on another pair that they might have in stock at the time. Egads! Talk about leaving you feeling helpless. NONE of the frames and lenses shown were to my liking, so I opted out of that choice and decided to search Amazon for a pair to my liking.
So, this brings me to the new ones -- the subject at hand. The lenses on these are advertised as being 55mm wide, which they are. However, the original Caravans were 58mm wide = a small but perceptable difference, especially in field-of-view coverage AND how they look on your face. The G15 lenses seem to be the same tint, and the color (gun metal grey) is very nice. They fit well, and are what one would expect given the name RayBan. Therefore, I recommend them.
[Footnote: As for my broken 58mm black-framed pair -- I looked up repair shops on the I-net, found 2 that seemed to talk a good game, picked one (in Cincinnati) and shipped them off today to have the frame laser welded. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they'll come back in usable shape (as promised) and I will again have my Old Faithfull's back. $35 to save a no-longer-made classic pair of RayBans is worth it in my book.]

Classic Design!! But the 55mm frame is too small..

Really solid frame and arrived rather fast (7 days before the expected date). It included the original packaging, booklets, cloth and case (the brown one) in the original box. Was surprised that it felt quite heavy, or at least more than what Im used to, although when I wear it I can't really feel the weight. The weight also adds to the feel of it making its structure feel a little more solid that lighter sunglasses.
Unfortunately, the 55mm gunmetal + green G 15 lens which I ordered, is about 6 millimetres too small at the sides for me although the lens and front frame are the right size for me and it's actually still wearable. (it's just me).
I would probably get the 58mm gold + green G15 later to see if there's a big difference (shouldn't be from the measurements given). That and the fact that these are a great pair of shades with a really classic design

Nice shoes!
Size: 11, Color: Black Full Grain
I bought them in black and I like them so much I will be buying the brown soon. They fit true to size and are comfortable and stylish. I like the clean simplicity. They're basically a dressy sneaker which is perfect for my job's 'dress code'. Yet they're stylish enough to be worn weekends or a night out. They seemed just a touch stiff out of the box but IMO that's completely normal and fine - after just a couple days of wearing them they are breaking in nicely. No complaints on that. They seem to be of very high quality and I'm very happy with them.
