INTRODUCTION:

Welcome to the Install Flooring Systems to Support Internal & External Walls course. This course only includes a challenge assessment designed to assess your knowledge and skills required to demonstrate competence in planning, setting out, installing, checking, and finishing timber and steel flooring systems in accordance with work instructions, drawings, specifications, regulatory requirements, and workplace procedures.

Installing flooring systems to support internal and external walls involves preparing the work area, interpreting plans and compliance requirements, selecting suitable materials and equipment, and constructing sub-floor and flooring components so that the finished system is level, secure, compliant, and fit for purpose. In real workplace practice, this requires workers to apply National Construction Code, Australian Standards, NASH standards, WHS, environmental, and workplace requirements, inspect sites and hazards before work begins, calculate and position materials accurately, set out and install supports, bearers, joists, and related components, and check flooring materials and installation methods against manufacturer specifications and structural requirements. This is important because properly installed flooring systems support structural performance, safety, durability, load requirements, moisture and termite protection, and the overall quality of the finished building work.

The course assessment focuses on your ability to plan flooring system installation from work instructions, drawings, specifications, and the required sequence of work, apply relevant code, standards, WHS, environmental, and workplace requirements, select and use tools, equipment, and PPE safely, inspect the site, locate services, identify hazards, implement risk controls, select and calculate materials, and set out and install support structures, stumps, piers, bearers, damp proof courses, termite shields, waling plates, floor joists, blocks, trimmers, and joint supports. It also evaluates your ability to check flooring material suitability, measure, cut, prepare, install, and secure flooring materials in line with manufacturer specifications and imposed load, insulation, and acclimatisation requirements, and complete clean-up, waste disposal, tool maintenance, storage, and fault reporting in line with legislative and workplace requirements.

By successfully completing this course assessment, you will have demonstrated that you can install flooring systems to support internal and external walls by planning and sequencing the work correctly, applying compliance and safety requirements, setting out and fixing structural flooring components accurately, selecting and installing suitable flooring materials to specification, and finalising the work area, equipment, and reporting processes in accordance with workplace and legislative expectations.

Great for a Pitball
Pattern Name: Octopus
I have a Pitbull and she absolutely loves this toy. I always wait a while before giving a review. She has had this toy Since the beginning of July and she is still playing with this toy. It does have little holes but it is still going. She loves it. Playing tug of war with her. I also take it and wrap it around her collar and watch her dance around trying to get it out(I don't leave it there long). This a great buy. I also bought and extra one so when this one does finally dies she will have another. The material is strong, The sound is about normal for a squeaky toy.

Cute, but not tough enough.
Pattern Name: Octopus
This toy is cute, my pug loves it, and I like how the legs are strong but the top of the octopuses head isn't tough enough which is worrisome because thats where the squeaker is. It might work out for a smaller dog though.

Fun Resilient Chew Toy
Pattern Name: Octopus
I have a boxer/pit mix and she loves this! I bought it 4 months ago and it’s still going strong so I know it’s quality made and perfect for dogs that like to chew and play tug of war. It has been chew resistant for my girl and she loves the little squeak. I just throw it in the washer when I wash her bed. Great value and a safe toy that’s a good size for a medium to large dog.
