DALI Phantom M-375 In-Wall Speakers at Vinyl Sound Toronto Canada

The Phantom M-375 is a slim, powerful in-wall speaker from DALI (Hobro, Denmark), available as a pair at Vinyl Sound in Toronto, Canada. The flagship of DALI's Phantom M series, it steps up from the M-250 by adding DALI's signature Hybrid Tweeter module combining a planar ribbon element with an in-house 28 mm soft dome, alongside a 7-inch active wood fibre woofer and two 7-inch passive radiators with flat-cone geometry, all within a glass-reinforced ABS cabinet of just 100 mm mounting depth. Covering a frequency range of 57 Hz to 25,000 Hz at 89 dB sensitivity, the M-375 is designed and engineered entirely at DALI's Danish production facility and brings many of the core qualities of the reference Phantom S series to a more compact installation footprint. Developed primarily for multi-channel home cinema as a front, centre, or surround speaker, it performs with equal commitment in two-channel stereo configurations and is sold as a pair for stereo or matched front channel use.

Hybrid Tweeter Module: Ribbon Precision Meets Dome Dynamics

The M-375's defining upgrade over the Phantom M-250 is the inclusion of DALI's trademark Hybrid Tweeter module, a technology shared with the reference Phantom S series and DALI's premium floorstanding speaker range. A 28 mm soft dome tweeter manufactured in-house from an ultra-lightweight woven fabric diaphragm, weighing less than half the material used in most competing soft dome tweeters at 0.060 mg per mm², is paired with a planar ribbon tweeter element. The soft dome handles the lower treble region with wide bandwidth and seamless integration into the upper midrange, while the ribbon element takes over at higher frequencies where it excels at horizontal distribution of high-frequency energy. Together they produce an open, detailed, and spacious top end that is characteristic of DALI's audiophile speaker heritage, and that outperforms a conventional single soft dome tweeter in both resolution and listening area coverage. When the M-375 is installed horizontally as a centre channel, the hybrid tweeter module can be unscrewed and rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise to keep the ribbon element in its optimal vertical orientation for correct horizontal dispersion.

7-inch Active Woofer and Dual Passive Radiators with SMC Magnet System

The M-375's bass system consists of a single active 7-inch wood fibre woofer working in combination with two 7-inch passive radiators, all using flat cone geometry to maximise the available internal acoustic volume within the 100 mm cabinet depth. The active woofer is optimised for long excursion, with the passive radiators tuned to respond to internal cabinet pressure and augment bass output in a manner that extends the low-frequency performance beyond what the active driver alone could achieve in this enclosure size. The active woofer's magnet motor system uses a 38 mm voice coil wound around a pure SMC (Soft Magnetic Composite) pole piece, an upgrade from the composite iron-SMC configuration in the M-250. A pure SMC pole piece places the distortion-reducing material throughout the entire magnetic working zone of the voice coil, resulting in a more significant reduction in hysteresis and eddy current distortion compared to a composite arrangement. The measured result is distortion below 1 percent from 60 Hz upward, with a well-balanced frequency response and an impedance curve that never dips below 5 ohms, making the M-375 an easy and amplifier-friendly load.

Glass-Reinforced ABS Cabinet with Matte-Black Front Baffle

The Phantom M-375 shares its cabinet housing with the Phantom M-250, both manufactured from glass-reinforced ABS material to achieve the maximum possible internal volume within the 100 mm mounting depth. Glass-reinforced ABS provides the structural rigidity needed to control cabinet panel resonance at this wall thickness while keeping weight practical for installation. Twin bass ports release pressure from the compact enclosure, giving the M-375 a vented tuning that extends bass output and produces a spacious, room-filling character. The front baffle and surrounding rim are finished in matte-black lacquer, eliminating the light reflection that can be disruptive in dark home cinema projection environments. The slim-bezel magnetic front grille is fully paintable to match any wall colour for a completely discreet installation. Since the M-375 shares the exact same cabinet dimensions and cut-out requirements as the M-250, installers working on multi-channel systems can plan and cut all openings in advance, then decide at a later stage which model to install in each position without reopening walls.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the DALI Phantom M-375?

The DALI Phantom M-375 is the flagship model of DALI's Phantom M in-wall speaker series, designed and manufactured in Hobro, Denmark. It is a multi-channel custom installation speaker featuring a 7-inch active wood fibre woofer, two 7-inch passive radiators with flat cone geometry, and DALI's Hybrid Tweeter module combining a planar ribbon element with an in-house 28 mm soft dome tweeter. Covering 57 Hz to 25,000 Hz at 89 dB sensitivity from a 100 mm mounting depth, it is sold as a pair and designed primarily for multi-channel home cinema use as a front, centre, or surround speaker, while also performing in two-channel stereo applications.

How does the DALI Phantom M-375 compare to the DALI Phantom M-250 and Phantom S-180?

The Phantom M-375 sits above the M-250 and below the Phantom S-180 in DALI's custom installation hierarchy. Compared to the M-250, the M-375 adds the Hybrid Tweeter module with its planar ribbon element, upgrades from a composite iron-SMC pole piece to a pure SMC pole piece, and replaces the M-250's twin active woofers with a single active 7-inch woofer plus two passive radiators for a different bass loading approach. Independent measurement by Alpha Audio confirmed distortion below 1 percent from 60 Hz and an impedance curve that stays above 5 ohms, confirming the M-375 as a particularly easy amplifier load. Compared to the Phantom S-180, the M-375 has a smaller footprint, uses only one active woofer rather than a dedicated 8-inch SMC woofer, and does not include the SUB P-10 DSS-derived 10-inch carbon fibre passive radiator, resulting in less deep bass extension from 57 Hz versus 25 Hz for the S-180.

Can the DALI Phantom M-375 be used as a centre channel speaker?

Yes, the DALI Phantom M-375 is well suited to centre channel use and is one of DALI's recommended choices for this position in a Phantom M multi-channel system. The Hybrid Tweeter module is designed to be unscrewed from its default vertical orientation and rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise when the speaker is installed horizontally as a centre channel. This keeps the ribbon tweeter element in its optimal vertical position for correct horizontal high-frequency dispersion, ensuring consistent tonal balance across the full listening width of the room when the speaker is mounted in a landscape orientation below or above a screen.

What is the difference between the pure SMC pole piece in the M-375 and the composite iron-SMC pole piece in the M-250?

Both the M-375 and M-250 use DALI's patented SMC (Soft Magnetic Composite) magnet motor technology, but the M-375 uses a pure SMC pole piece while the M-250 uses a hybrid iron and SMC composite configuration. A pure SMC pole piece places the distortion-reducing material throughout the entire magnetic working zone of the voice coil, rather than only in part of it. This results in a more complete reduction of magnetic hysteresis and eddy current distortion across the full voice coil excursion range, producing tighter bass control, better micro-detail retrieval, and more accurate transient response compared to the composite arrangement. The M-375 also uses a larger 38 mm voice coil compared to the M-250's 25 mm coil, providing greater motor force and dynamic headroom.

Where can I buy the DALI Phantom M-375 in Toronto or Canada?

The DALI Phantom M-375 is available as a pair at Vinyl Sound, an authorised DALI dealer in Toronto, Canada. Vinyl Sound carries the full DALI Phantom M and S series and can assist with multi-channel system design, cut-out planning, amplifier matching, and installation consultation. Purchasing from an authorised Canadian dealer ensures full DALI manufacturer warranty coverage and access to experienced local guidance throughout the installation process.

What amplifier or AV receiver is recommended for the DALI Phantom M-375?

The DALI Phantom M-375 is rated for 30 to 180 watts at a 6-ohm nominal impedance, with a measured impedance that stays above 5 ohms throughout the frequency range. This makes it compatible with a wide range of AV receivers and custom install amplifier systems. Its 89 dB sensitivity and easy impedance characteristic mean it reaches high listening levels from modest amplifier power, with independent measurement noting it can theoretically be driven by tube amplifiers given the benign impedance curve. AV receivers from brands such as Arcam, Yamaha, Denon, and Anthem with 6-ohm rated outputs are well matched. For multi-channel home cinema use, dedicated multi-channel power amplifiers from brands such as NAD, Rotel, or Emotiva deliver the clean, stable power that brings out the best in the M-375's Hybrid Tweeter and passive radiator bass system.

Does the DALI Phantom M-375 require a subwoofer?

For multi-channel home cinema use, a dedicated subwoofer is strongly recommended to complement the Phantom M-375. Its frequency range begins at 57 Hz, which is sufficient for dialogue, music, and most mid-range cinematic content, but does not extend to the sub-60 Hz bass frequencies present in film soundtracks and bass-heavy music. In a typical multi-channel home cinema system, the AV processor or receiver handles bass management by redirecting low-frequency content to the subwoofer, allowing the M-375 to operate within its optimal bandwidth. For stereo music listening in medium-sized rooms, the M-375 can operate without a subwoofer for most musical genres, though pairing with a DALI subwoofer adds full-range performance for bass-intensive content.

Fallen for the Fallen Angel – A Guilty Pleasure Worth Every Page
Format: Kindle
There’s something deeply irresistible about a dark academia or trial-based setting, a brooding and arrogant fallen angel, and a fierce heroine with enough sass to go toe-to-toe with him. Wings So Wicked is exactly that kind of book—and I devoured it in just a couple of days. To be fair, the plot isn’t groundbreaking. If you’re looking for something fresh and innovative in terms of storyline, this might not be it. But if your reader heart beats faster at the mere mention of enemies-to-lovers, jealousy-fueled banter, magical trials, betrayals, and forbidden tension—you’ll feel right at home. It’s like catnip for those of us with this particular weakness. The chemistry between the leads could have used a slightly slower burn to make the tension sizzle longer, but I still found myself completely invested in their dynamic. There are moments and phrases that feel a bit cheesy or underdeveloped, but honestly? I didn’t care. The vibes were exactly what I wanted. This book isn’t trying to reinvent the genre—it’s here to give readers like me what we crave: high-stakes magical drama, angsty romance, and the thrill of watching a badass girl and her brooding counterpart clash and spark. If that sounds like your kind of story, Wings So Wicked will hit the mark. Here’s hoping Book 2 turns up the heat and keeps the magic alive.

You see one spicy scene the whole book but it doesn’t even MATTER BECAUSE THE BOOK WAS THAT GOOD. I’ve read 85 books in 2023-2024 so far and I’m pround to say this is my all time favorite. I’m so excited to read more of Emily Blackwoods books, this was my first time reading one of hers and I’m glad I did because HOLY!! Well done Emily well done

Fallen Angels, fae, vampires, oh my!
Format: Kindle
Rating: 4.5 | Spice: 2 (but a good slow-burn) • Main Characters: Huntyr and Wolf • I couldn’t wait to read this book; there was so much hype about it! And there was no doubt why. I fell in love with the characters and the plot itself. This book is mainly plot driven more than friction driven but it’s easy to follow along with. The characters are fun, easily understood. The main setting is at an academy where both the main characters are going through trials and building strength for the final test, The Transcendent. There are fantastic side characters as well. I loved the camaraderie between Huntyr and her friends. But we don’t like Lanson. 😆 We do have some plot twists that come into play throughout the book. Secrets and betrayal to be seen. I did adore Wolf and Huntyr’s relationship. It was a classic slow burn trope. They didn’t hit it off fast, but in time their feelings grew. I loved their banter, so sexy. Wolf is your next book boyfriend; Huntyr is your next vampire assassin independent bad-a*s female. Themes include loyalty, trust, self-discovery, a true slow burn romance. Side note: book ends on a angsty cliffhanger! • Emily, thank you for writing this awesome novel and I cannot wait to devour Book 2, Blood So Brutal! 😍 • Happy reading, my lovelies! xo
