Wow, here's an affordable way to change up the rear end of your vehicle.  This area also seems to catch a lot of dust which sometimes leaves small rust spots.  Keep it protected with this large vinyl piece.

Not All Materials are Created Equally

When purchasing vinyl overlays, keep in mind that not all materials are created equally. I use premium vinyl which has high initial costs, but are the industry standards for high quality materials. Also made in the USA. Dragon Wrap™ Carbon Fiber Films (3D Carbon) is a 5.6 mil calendered vinyl film featuring a clear repositionable permanent acrylic adhesive on an air-egress liner. This film has excellent dimensional stability, outstanding durability and outdoor performance. This repositionable permanent adhesive offers minimal initial bond growing to permanent bonds that facilitates application of large graphics. The air egress liner also aids in large graphic application. Minimum application temperature is 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Up to 5 year durability outdoors. Rated EXCELLENT for WATER RESISTANCE, HUMIDITY RESISTANCE, and SOLVENT RESISTANCE.

INSTRUCTIONS

Soapy water is required for installation of part A.  Please see the photo of how much soap we used on the back of the vinyl.

If you are installing this in very hot conditions, the sun can cause the vinyl to stretch more than you wanted it to.  In that case, find an area outside of direct sunlight.

You will want to look at all of the photos.  They will give you an idea of the placement of both pieces.  This installation is broken down into two parts.  Part A is the main piece and considered easy to install.  As long as you keep the back soapy, it is fairly easy to reposition the vinyl. Part B is for more advanced installers and probably requires the use of a hair dryer or heat gun on low heat.

Remove your license plate.  Clean the placement area and make sure it is free of dirt, debris, and wax.   Align the holes just like our photo.  The spacing around the license plate mounting holes is also visible in our photos.  Squeegee out the air and soapy water with your fingers only.  Use of your fingers will make sure you do not damage the vinyl.

A part A only installation looks great, but some will opt to continue to part B.  Part B does have a notch in the center just to aide in installation.  Try to center this up as much as possible and then work your way out to one side.

To even things out, you will probably have to lift up on the vinyl several times and reposition it so try not to push the ends down until you're almost complete.  Should it be warm and you stretch the vinyl a little bit, you may have to trim the ends with scissors (photo available).  This is the same scenario if you use a hair dryer or heat gun to purposely stretch the vinyl.  Stretching the vinyl helps get it to cover the areas you want to get covered.  The initial alignment dictates how much stretching is required.  If you applied this piece 20 times, you would probably do it differently each time.  The heat can also aide in stretching out any areas that want to crease.

You can guide the vinyl a bit by using slight pressure as you apply it.  Be patient.  Make small corrections as you go.

There are various extra pieces that are there only if you need to correct a mistake you made.  Whether you somehow didn't cover everything you wanted to cover up, or if you get a snag in the vinyl later on down the road.  Should these unlikely things happen, you have a little extra vinyl.

Good looking shelves
Size: 11.6"D x 15.7"W, Color: Black, Size: 11.6"D x 15.7"W, Color: Black
These shelves turned out perfect for my bedroom project! I read lots of reviews about people having trouble with the wall anchors not holding up, but I’m going to equate that to user error. I had no trouble installing these and even took a couple shortcuts. I only used two wall anchors per shelf, but also pre checked the holes for studs. I used one dry wall screw per shelf as well. Knowing how wall anchors can be, I used one drill bit size smaller than the directions suggested. They said use 1/4, but I used 15/64. Probably could have gotten away with one smaller than that at 7/32. With all screws, I made sure not to press too hard into the wall and just turn the screw. That helps the anchors and threads stay snug in the dry wall. There was only one shelf that came out feeling a little saggy, but I think it’s because the holes in the shelf are not quite right. However, it still holds strong and no problem with a box of shoes on it. All this being said, I pre weighed my shoe boxes and knew I only needed to hold about 5-7 lbs. I was super detailed with measuring the bracket spots to make sure everything was spaced and leveled appropriately. The wood on the shelves does feel a little cheap, but it looks great so I couldn’t care less. I would purchase these shelves again and might have to as my display collection continues to grow.

Easy install, wide and sturdy
Size: 10"D x 15.7"W, Color: Brown, Size: 10"D x 15.7"W, Color: Brown
I put these shelves in a strange little cubby that was created in my kitchen by removing the sad excuse for a pantry that was once there. Super easy to hang, I’ve only hung two here and have other plans for the 3rd one. Good purchase for sure. Very sturdy and look expensive, without the high cost.

Sleek and attractive
Size: 12"D x 23.6"W, Color: Black, Size: 12"D x 23.6"W, Color: Black
While these didn't come in the color I was looking for, the size and price point were just what I was looking for. Installing them didn't take too long and was simple enough, but the end result did seem a little more wobbly than expected. I used them to display mine and my boyfriend's boots, and they held up fine, but I think 22 lbs per shelf would be pushing it. I was able to easily cover the shelves with wood grain look contact paper and easily trim the excess off with an Exacto knife to get the look I wanted. I'm happy with how it turned out.
