PRODUCT DETAILS:

Whole Grains Taste Better®

Long ago, a hearty meal was the mainstay of frontier folk from the frigid Yukon to the High Sierra. These rugged explorers relied on real food with a rich source of carbohydrates, protein, and fiber.

Kodiak Cakes® are meant for those of us who, like the rugged old pioneers exploring the untamed wilderness, require nutrition, energy and great taste to successfully navigate today’s frontier. Apart from whole grains being an essential ingredient, they just taste better. So instead of processing the grains and “enriching” it with some of its original nutritional value, Kodiak left it as is—free of GMOs, preservatives or artificial additives.

Powered by Protein

Protein plays an important part in our everyday lives, from powering us through big adventures to keeping us full and energized during busy days. It’s also a key factor in muscle recovery after a tough workout. Combining the nourishment of whole grains with the benefits of high-quality protein just makes sense, so Kodiak adds high-quality protein to many of their products. Plus, you won’t have to suffer through another chalky protein breakfast shake again. You’re welcome.

Keeping The Wilderness Wild

Kodiak Cakes feels a kinship with bears because, to them, a pantry stocked with real, nourishing food is the sign of a healthy family leading an active life. It’s part of the reason they're called "Kodiak Cakes." Every year, they donate a portion of their profits to conservation efforts, spearheaded by organizations like Vital Ground.

Kodiak Cakes is dedicated to encouraging healthy ecosystems, be it in your kitchen or wherever the frontier still thrives. Sustainability isn’t just about sourcing ingredients responsibly. There’s a great outdoors out there that they'd love to keep, well, wild.

Very basic
Format: Paperback
The idea of the book is to be condensed and concise but there is too much information that should be expanded on that is not. The writers of this book seem to think students using the book have a strong pediatric background but for FNPs that isn’t always the case. I found myself having to do research outside of the book to understand the chapters. Also there were many typos and mislabeled diagrams.

Poorly written
Format: Paperback
I had to get this for my class. I wish I had a different textbook because it is poorly written, does not explain details, hard to follow the sentences in a certain sections, A LOT of typos (totally misspelled name of the disease). I don't think this is very good textbook material.
