COLLECTION DESCRIPTION:

The Mannheim collection of outdoor light fixtures is designed to illuminate your home’s exterior with a timeless statement that is simple, yet stylish. The fixtures feature sleek lines and a tapered silhouette, creating a traditional lantern silhouette with clean, modern lines. Constructed with clear beveled glass and a matte black finish, these fixtures are built to last and can complement various architectural styles. The collection is available as outdoor pendants, wall sconces, and post lights. All the fixtures boast a strong, geometric frame that widens at the top and narrows toward the bottom. A decorative loop finial sits above the fixture, a classic design element found in traditional lanterns, adding to the overall aesthetic. The lantern is surrounded by clear glass panels designed to maximize light output and provide a clean, unobstructed view of the bulb within. It houses a single, elongated Edison-style bulb, which adds an industrial or vintage touch to the fixture with its visible filament. The ceiling fixture is suspended from a canopy by a matching black chain, allowing for adjustable hanging height. The post mount connects the bottom of the lantern to a post, indicating that this fixture is designed for mounting on top of a pillar or post. The wall-mounted lantern is affixed to a square backplate that sits flush against the wall, ensuring a secure mount and a clean look. The Mannheim collection bridges the classic and the contemporary, allowing it to fit seamlessly into b traditional oth and modern decor schemes. Available as ceiling pendants, post lights, and wall mounted sconces, the collection would be suitable for entryways, dining areas, or as accent lighting in living spaces.

Loved it!
Format: Kindle
I'm not sure what I was expecting when I started reading this book, but it definitely wasn't what I got. And, what I got was so much better! The idea of large groups of people just being taken from Earth on a schedule and yet the general population still having a rather blase attitude about avoiding large crowds is something that, 2 years ago, I would have said was unrealistic. After living through 2020, I now think it's incredibly realistic. As is the reaction had by a lot of the ones taken with Emma - well, before the coughing started, anyway. As for the trials. Holy crap! I can't imagine having to go through those, but I loved Emma's absolute determination to make it through them so she can (somehow) make it back to Earth and see her family again. Also, I was pleasantly surprised at how well the first trials section went, as it can be very difficult for authors to maintain a flow when there's one person. Having Suri there for conversations helped, but Wells did a masterful job there. Then we get to Hub Two and the difficulties there, and man! While I do hope that Emma doesn't have to keep taking so many crazy risks, her sheer determination to make it through works so well. Even though she clearly has plot armor that prevents her from dying, all the close calls - and the ways she gets out of them - are done really well. None of them seem outlandish or unrealistic, at least to me, which I greatly appreciated. I am definitely looking forward to reading book 2.

Started with a slow burn...
Format: Kindle
Well this book started with a slow burn as the author tried to not just teach the MC, Emma, but to everyone reading, a whole new kinda magic system. And it's purdy gimmicky if you ask me. I did like Emma's devil may care attitude when it comes to problem solving. Still it got better after new characters were introduced and Emma managed to team-up. And the story was fun as they work out the intricacies of the system. I am even eager to try the next book to see if it'll enthrall me. Here's a couple of quotes that amused me: “You could’ve died, you jerk!” I shake my head with a small smirk. “No, no, it’s pronounced, ‘Wow, that’s amazing, Emma!’ ” "...the plesiosaurus... plesiosauruses? Plesiosauri? The plessies chase after me..."

Love it! Romance included!
Format: Kindle
Love the characters, love the world, love the series! The romance aspect turned out to be quite entertaining, definitely a slow burn, which is my favorite and the fact that the love interest is a girl has me cheering. But the story is a litrpg first and foremost and isn’t lacking on anything I look for in the genre. A lot of things about the world are completely original as well. I couldn’t put it down and read through both of the first two books in two days. To those hating on Katelin… why? I think she’s hilarious and super cute. Also, if you’re confused as to why Emma seems attracted to her even though she’s straight, that’s actually explained in the next book. Pretty clever honestly.

Not bad, but...
Format: Kindle
I read to 33% (my percentage point to determine if I will stick it out, unless it's terrible of course) and can say with authority that this book is ok, but not for me. There are some points that I think are worth mentioning. It is specifically mentioned that the MC has a generously proportioned bust, and that she is not wearing a sports bra. And yet her generous chest causes no difficulty in athletic action. Don't get me wrong, busty women can be very athletic, but they wear sports bras while being athletic. How do I know this as a man, simple. Generously, and not so generously, proportioned women have told me that this is important. Second: At33% she is still in the middle of her 'test', so it's a slow moving book. Third: The system interface goes from being indifferent to the MC to being willing to bend/break the the rules to aid her. Honestly, I prefer the indifferent one. It takes more than a little spunk to flip that switch. In conclusion, not for me, some significant problems, but I could see some people enjoying this. Tom out

A new style LitRPG for me
Format: Kindle
I really like Emma. The attraction that is in this series so far seems blessedly not limited by gender. This starts out like a few other same genre series I've read. It is unique though in how it kicks off. The AI sidekicks do seem suspicious, but also motivated to help their charge progress. Now, if only I could travel, and survive, to a dimension or universe that changed my hair to stay the color I like that would be perfect. Fun series, well written with both mystery and challenge.
