The TactiVest™ is what happens when you take military-grade harness design and make it accessible for everyday dogs. Built from tough nylon with MOLLE webbing across the back for attaching pouches and patches, a padded mesh underside to keep your dog comfortable during long sessions, and a top handle for close control when you need it fast. Whether you're training a German Shepherd, hiking with a Belgian Malinois, or just trying to stop your Labrador pulling you into every puddle, the TactiVest™ gives you the control and durability to handle it. Available in Black and Army Green across three sizes — S for 10–20kg dogs, M for 20–30kg, and L for 30–45kg.

MOLLE Webbing System
The MOLLE grid across the back lets you attach compatible pouches, ID patches, and kit carriers using any standard MOLLE-compatible accessory. For working dog handlers running German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, or Dutch Shepherds, it means carrying essentials — first aid, water, or ID — without a separate pack on yourself. For everyday owners, it's what makes the TactiVest™ genuinely customisable rather than just tactical-looking.
No-Pull Front Clip & Back D-Ring
Two attachment points, two different jobs. The front D-ring redirects pullers — when your Husky or Weimaraner surges forward, the lead steers them sideways instead of letting them lean into it. The back D-ring is for calmer walking or fully trained dogs. Labradors and Golden Retrievers that haven't fully cracked loose-lead walking yet benefit especially from starting on the front clip — it turns a battle into a manageable conversation without a separate training lead.
Top Handle — Instant Close Control
The reinforced top handle sits directly over your dog's shoulders and lets you get a firm grip in a second — without bending down, grabbing the collar, or fumbling with the lead. Essential at road crossings, when passing reactive dogs, or when your Rottweiler or Dobermann spots something that demands your full attention. For handlers of powerful, driven breeds like Malinois or German Shepherds, this handle alone is worth the price of the harness.
Padded Mesh Lining
The inner lining is padded mesh — soft against skin where the harness contacts your dog's chest and belly, and breathable enough to keep heat from building during extended outings. Active breeds like Border Collies, Vizslas, and Springer Spaniels can wear a harness for hours on a working day — the mesh padding distributes pressure evenly so there's no rubbing or sore patches even after a full day's walking or fieldwork.
Quick-Release Buckles — On & Off in Seconds
The dual side-release buckles click open and closed cleanly and hold firm under load. Dogs that fidget during fitting — Huskies, Spaniels, and Labradors that never quite stand still — are much easier to harness with side buckles than over-the-head designs. The buckles are glove-friendly and work reliably in wet weather, which matters when you're harnessing up at the boot of a car on a winter morning.

Size by weight, not breed name: the weight ranges are the most reliable guide. A lean 18kg Whippet needs Size S; a stocky 28kg Labrador needs M; a 35kg German Shepherd or 40kg Rottweiler needs L. When your dog sits right on a boundary, go up — a slightly large harness adjusts; a too-small one doesn't.

Not suitable for dogs under 10kg: Size S starts at 10kg — this rules out smaller breeds like Cocker Spaniels at a lighter weight, Jack Russells, and most toy breeds. For dogs under 10kg, a lighter, smaller harness will give a better fit and safer control.

MOLLE pouches sold separately: the harness ships without pouches. Any standard MOLLE-compatible pouch or patch can be attached to the back webbing panel.

✅ Right for you if…
  • You have a 10–45kg breed that pulls — German Shepherd, Husky, Labrador, Malinois, Rottweiler
  • You want MOLLE webbing to attach pouches or ID patches
  • You need a top handle for instant close control in traffic or around other dogs
  • You want one harness that handles both training and everyday walking
❌ Not for you if…
  • Your dog is under 10kg — most toy and small breeds won't fit even Size S
  • You need a lightweight summer harness — this is a structured, padded vest
  • You want a front-clip only harness with no back attachment
  • Your dog has a very deep, narrow chest — Greyhounds and Whippets may need a specialist fit

Frequently Asked Questions

What size should I order for my dog?

Go by your dog's weight. Size S fits 10–20kg — typical for Border Collies, Springer Spaniels, and lighter Whippets. Size M fits 20–30kg — right for most Labradors, Golden Retrievers, and Dalmatians. Size L fits 30–45kg — ideal for German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Huskies, and Belgian Malinois. When your dog sits on a boundary, size up — the straps adjust down, but you can't make a too-small harness bigger.

Does the MOLLE webbing fit standard pouches?

Yes — the webbing follows standard MOLLE spacing and is compatible with the wide range of MOLLE accessories available online. Popular additions for working dogs include treat pouches, compact first aid kits, and ID patch panels. Pouches are not included — the harness ships on its own.

Will this stop my dog pulling?

The front clip significantly reduces the effectiveness of pulling by redirecting your dog sideways rather than letting them lean into the lead. It works well for most pullers — Huskies, Labradors, Weimaraners, and German Shepherds included — and makes training sessions much more manageable. It's a tool, not a magic fix: pair it with consistent training for the best results.

How do I clean it?

Hand wash with warm water and mild soap, then air dry. The padded mesh lining holds moisture, so give it enough time to dry fully before the next use — especially after muddy outings with Labradors, Spaniels, or any breed that finds every puddle. Avoid machine washing as it can stress the buckles and webbing stitching over time.

Is it suitable for puppies?

Not ideal. The TactiVest™ is sized for medium to large adult dogs and the structured vest design isn't well suited to rapidly growing puppies. For young German Shepherds, Labradors, or Rottweilers, wait until they're at least 6 months old and close to adult weight before ordering — they can jump a full size in just a few weeks at peak growth.

Needs to be updated
Format: Hardcover
Excellent book, but now that it is 2019, it needs to be updated to reflect the current health care system. This book details average inpatient hospitalization stays as 10-90 days. The current average length of stay at an inpatient hospital is 3-15 days. So a lot of the information about how to run groups was not as applicable now - in the book, it assumed patients would be together in groups for weeks, but the reality is that sometimes patients are only together for a day or two.

Yalom Still Rules
Yalom is as relevant today as ever. Writing with art for science, Yalom offers insights and wisdom for clinical group practice that have changed the way I approach my whole life. If you have the luck to read this as an assigned text, you may be relieved by his novelistic approach and his integration of existential philosophy. If you are looking for the deep dive, he’s your guy.

Great buy!
We utilized this text during my Group Psychology course in my masters program. I felt it was very informative and is referred to highly by several of my colleagues. I had sold the text back to my campus book store a few years ago, but have decided I will benefit from having a copy available to me over my development as a professional. The information within this text, specifically the theories described by Yalom, are also incorporated into the state licensure exam, so it is a good reference to have when studying for this exam as well.

Excellent definitive group process textbook - not dry or verbose
Yalom certainly conveys his knowledge, research, and experience clearly in an organized, interesting, and engaging way that makes this textbook easy reading, but not at all simplistic. Had to stop and "chew" on material often to absorb. A must for anyone who has the responsibility of facilitating a therapy group. Not for support group-related work, especially. This is process group 100%.
