A complex nose of black fruits with hints of aniseed and sweet spice leads to a palate full of blackcurrant, plum and dried fruits backed up by hints of fudge and vanilla. Lovely long finish and great structure.

The Rioja vineyards for Telmo Rodriguez' wines are in the cool Lanciego zone within Rioja Alavesa. Aged in a combination of both French and American oak "foudres" and barrels.

Corriente is our tribute to an unofficial, traditional wine classification in use in our region during the early XXth century, which we found very interesting: “Corriente” (common, everyday) wines vs. “Selecto” (select) wines. A wine that is neither deceitful nor ostentatious, the sense of Corriente is an approachable wine that represents a region, its culture and of course its wine.

Food Pairing: Perfect with roast beef and lamb as well as hearty tomato dishes.
