Chip Off The Old Block Marlborough Pinot Noir 2022"Ruby red, youthful, even colour throughout. This has an enticing bouquet, with red and black fruit aromas interwoven with floral and sweet spice. Medium bodied, aromas of cherry and blackberry entwined with black tea fragrance, vanilla and cinnamon. The mouthfeel is smooth with fine grained tannins, and invigorating acidity harmonises and carries a sustained finish. This elegant Pinot Noir has a lovely structure and lacy acid support" Candice Chow,

"It's sweetly ripe and beautifully fragrant on the nose, showing dark cherry, pomegranate, subtle spice and almond notes, followed by a beautifully rounded palate offering juicy fruit flavours with smooth texture, finishing lingering and silky. Elegant and charming with ripe fruit flavours backed by savoury nuances" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jul 2023
The Chip off the old Block Pinot Noir has elegant aromas of red currant with a touch of charry oak. The palate shows fresh flavours of red cherry and cranberry and give a rich, round mouth feel with silky tannin and a touch of charry oak on the finish.
A single vineyard Pinot Noir grown in the Wairau valley in Marlborough. A sub-region with rich clay soils and elevation from the sea makes for an ideal site for growing quality Pinot Noir grapes.
Once harvested, the grapes for this wine were transported to the winery where they underwent gentle pressing before being fermented at controlled warm temperatures with a select strain of yeast. This wine was then aged in barrel for 10 months to produce a toasty finish to the wine.
