To be an independent artist means to not only be free to share your most ambitious artistic impulses, but to retain ownership of them, working tirelessly to market and produce a body of work that stands apart from corporate decision-making and interference. For Phil Ranelin and Wendell Harrison, it was this guiding principle that led them to found the Detroit-based Jazz label Tribe Records in the early 1970s. Focusing on self-reliance and communal support, Tribe provided a platform for local jazz artists such as Ranelin and Harrison to record and release albums, and had community members taking full control of the promotion and distribution. The label and its magazine set an important early precedent for community-driven arts organizations, and still stands as a testament to their potential and efficacy. Today, the legacy of Tribe lives on in labels like Jazz Is Dead, making these recordings at Linear Lab Studios in Highland Park all the more significant. In their latest dispatch, Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad craft a poignant batch of new material that celebrates the lasting impact of Tribe, and the perpetual greatness of Phil Ranelin and Wendell Harrison. Emerging from misty trumpets and tremoring keys is album opener "Genesis", which takes its time introducing each element before breaking out into a fiery funk. On "Open Eye" kaleidoscopic percussion takes over, leading into a cool, Samba-inflicted guitar that flutters in between a formidable saxophone solo, courtesy of Harrison. From the moment the cymbals and bass take off on "Running With Tribe", the exhilaration remains high, before tempering into a slithering strut, the string section lingering in the background, both glistening and nervous. Awesome Tough Chewer Focus Puzzle

Our 2 yr old busy Mini Goldendoodle (24lbs) looooves this!
The material is super tough, yet malleable; he has chewed away and you can’t even tell.
We got the 8 pack, worth it! I load them all up with mostly kibble and a treat or two. It took just a short time for him to figure out how to really get it apart. On 1 it came apart really easy for him. We are mostly on 3s, with 2s. When he gets down to only 2 pieces connected it’s usually a 3 and it takes a little longer to get apart due to less leverage.
It is mostly easy to use but the higher the plug end is, the more effort it will also take for YOU to get it together. The numbers are a little hard to see, more so on the yellow over the blue.
If you use kibble like me, don’t fill it too full as then it won’t connect fully and be prepared for kibble to fly everywhere when they finally get it off. There are holes in the plug part, if you put something in it like peanut butter, remember to poke the holes out! Eew! Other than that they are fairly easy wash out in the sink!
Overall, this has become our go to, extended focus, quiet time, [essentially a] slow feeder!

Great!

I have a mini Australian Shepherd (37 lbs) and she loves this! She can get level one but has a tougher time with level 2. I have tried 3 but she gives up so she hasn't gotten further than that lol. She is quite stubborn and gives up easy if she can't figure something out and is totally over it. The quality is great as it is thick and not easy to destroy. My fur baby does love it, she seems to think it is fun for at least an hour so it is worth it in my eyes. There are times I have to do something that takes longer and I just can't play with her so this is perfect for her. It was definitely worth the money

Durable & fun for aggressive chewers.

Holding up very well for our aggressive chewer. Squeaker is still intact & our 70-pound pittie breed often chooses this toy to play with over others. Pittie approved.

Not at all indestructible
It was well loved while it lasted. But this fish was delivered on Saturday and I’m writing my review on Tuesday morning. So we are looking at roughly 3 days of play. I bought the fish toy and almost immediately the fins were ripped off. But I figured as long as the body stayed intact we’d be good. But it wasn’t long before the body was ripped open as well. Very disappointed. Evidently my dog’s bite is more damaging than a bullet?
I’m sure it will last all in all a week before there’s no saving it anymore. Will look for other better toys for my super chewer.

Lasted the longest of any toy we bought yet!
Very happy with the toys we bought so far! The owl didn’t last as long as the raccoon. The raccoon lost his ear pretty quickly, but the rest of the toy has held up for almost a month now. That is *significantly* longer than any other stuffed animal toy we’ve tried so far. Pretty much any other stuffed animal toy we’ve tried from Kong or elsewhere has fallen apart in a few days. This is a good toy for sharp puppy teeth! Also such cute designs. Just bought the Mallard, excited to see how it goes!
