Yes that’s right, as we learned in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, C-3PO is a menacing, vengeful God-like being who has the ability to make things fly, much like E.T. the Extra Terrestrial. Could C-3PO actually be an Asogian disguised as a Rebel Protocol Droid? While that would be a pretty damn cool plot twist, sadly the true reason C-3PO’s throne manages to raise up from the ground is because of Luke Skywalker’s Jedi mind tricks.

 

It’s one of the funniest moments in the film, which sees Luke convince the Ewoks that their God, C-3PO, is angry that they plan to sacrifice his friends, by raising his throne as a “display of powerful anger”. They eventually oblige, and it’s a good thing they did, since those furry little guys would’ve been toast without the help of the rebels.

 

Featured here is C-3PO sitting on his throne, along with Logray, who is about to get the surprise of a lifetime once that throne starts flying into the air. Both stand upon an Ewok Village-themed base, making this an essential addition to any Star Wars fan’s collection.
