Curtis is the very first prototype of our newest pattern, Lanky Plushy Monsters! 😁 Being a prototype, Curtis is a unique sort of individual. 😆🥰 I've never sewn a plushy from a pattern made by someone else (though I've bought a few with the intention of doing so), so the only real experience I have with the style of pattern I was shooting for comes from puppet patterns. Of course, puppets have mouths, and the angles of their heads are made to accommodate a hand that will then pitch the head forward as the puppeteer performs with the puppet. This is all just a long-winded explanation of why Curtis seems to be staring off into the cosmos, contemplating his place in the world and existence as a whole. 😬🤣🤣🤣 I loosely based the shape of Curtis's head on the patterns I've gotten from Project Puppet, but didn't take the time to find and study those patterns because reasons? 🤷 I just went off the image I had in my brain meats, and thought I moved the mouth area far enough down the face to adjust for a lower angle on the face. Apparently, I didn't move it enough. 😬 BUT I FREAKING LOVE HIM!!! 🥰🥰🥰 I didn't give much thought to the colors used, but I think they're pretty dang cute together, and he has the happiest smile on his beautiful little face. 🥰 There will never be another monster exactly like Curtis, both in design and personality. He would love to come home to be your absolutely unique little buddy. 🥰 (HE ALSO TOOK ME THREE DAYS TO MAKE OH MY GOD)

The specs:

Approximate weight: 2.25 pounds

Approximate height: 14 inches (35.56 cm) from his bottom to the tips of his horns, 24 inches (60.96 cm) from the bottoms of his feet to the tips of his horns.

Approximate cuteness: SO FLIPPIN' CUTE, YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW.

Curtis is made from shaggy Urple and Papaya faux fur, has one large black plastic safety eye, and is filled with polyester fiberfill and virgin glass weighting beads. His horns are made of a shiny silver material that Mom bought as a remnant from Hobby Lobby a couple of years ago, which we have very little of, so it won't be on many more monsters. He also has floppy ears lined in papaya minky fabric, and minky lip and tusks. He is utterly unique!

Another Note for International Customers: Shipping companies (UPS in particular) charge import and/or duty fees that must be paid before receipt of the package can be taken.
