Fresh aromas of raspberries, strawberries and a subtle herbal lift. A delicious palate of red berry fruit, dried thyme, and spices, this wine is full-bodied with a silky structure, leading to a long savoury finish.

This fruit was sourced from a selection of vineyards throughout the Marlborough region. Each vineyard's yield is managed carefully and fruit is monitored throughout the ripening season. The grapes were harvested upon reaching the desired flavour spectrum and maturity.

The grapes were harvested in the cool of the morning at optimum flavour maturity. Each vineyard parcel was held cool for five days prior to fermentation. Selected yeast strains wereused for the primary alcoholic fermentation during which the must was hand plunged six to eight times daily. Once malolactic fermentation was completed the wine was carefully blended and gently prepared for bottling.

Food Pairing: The 2021 River Delta Pinot Noir has fresh aromas of red punnit fruit and a slight herbal lift, pairing beautifully with root vegetables and wild mushrooms. This wine is drinking well now and will continue to impress for the next 5 years.
