The Sony RM-MC33EL inline remote control came as a standard accessory with MiniDisc players such as the MZ-E510, MZ-E520, MZ-E620, MZ-E710, and MZ-E720.
It has basic backwards compatibility with some older devices. For example, when connected to an MZ-E800, released in 2000, you can use this inline remote to play, pause, stop, previous track, next track, adjust the volume, and change the play mode. This is not an extensive list, nor is it a guarantee of backwards compatibility.
