One of the hallmarks of contemporary culture is its attitude toward aging and the elderly. Youth and productivity are celebrated in today's society, while the elderly are increasingly marginalized. This not only poses difficulties for old people but is also a loss for the young and middle-agers, who could learn much from the elderly, including what it means to grow old (and die) in Christ.

Growing Old in Christ presents the first serious theological reflection ever on what it means to grow old, particularly in our culture and particularly as a Christian. In a full-orbed discussion of the subject, eighteen first-rate Christian thinkers survey biblical and historical perspectives on aging, look at aging in the modern world, and describe the Christian practice of growing old. Along the way they address many timely issues, including the medicalization of aging, the debate over physician-assisted suicide, and the importance of friendships both among the elderly and between the elderly and the young.

Weighty enough to instruct theologians, ethicists, and professional caregivers yet accessible enough for pastors and general readers, this book will benefit anyone seeking faith-based insight into growing old.

Great shoes!
Size: 5 Big Kid, Color: Light Grass Green
This is my second time purchasing these shoes! Not only are they stylish and well made, but they are comfortable! These have been used as running shoes, they have great support and suitable for long distances. The fit is true to size. Thank you!

Shoe laces aren't great.
Size: 3 Big Kid, Color: Black White
I bought these RUNSIDE kids tennis shoes for everyday wear and school, and overall they’re lightweight, breathable, and comfortable for active use. My child liked how easy they were to put on, and they worked well for running and general play. The shoes themselves feel flexible and pretty comfortable for the price point. The upper material is breathable, which helps during sports or warmer weather, and they don’t feel heavy on the feet. However, the main issue is the original shoelaces. They constantly came untied no matter how they were tied, which became frustrating pretty quickly during the day. We ended up replacing them with better-quality laces, and that solved the problem. Pros: * Lightweight and comfortable for kids * Breathable material works well for active use * Easy for everyday wear and school * Good fit for the price Cons: * Original shoelaces do not stay tied well * Laces needed to be replaced for practical use Overall, these are solid budget-friendly kids’ sneakers that work well once the laces are swapped out. The shoe itself is comfortable and functional, but the included laces are definitely a weak point.

Great shoes
Size: 8 Toddler, Color: Camouflage Gray
Bought these for my three-year-old son, they fit great and they are easy for him to slide on himself. The laces seem to come untied a lot, but otherwise we love them!

Perfect for Active Kids
Size: 4 Big Kid, Color: Black, Size: 4 Big Kid, Color: Black
My son loves these shoes. He says they’re really comfortable and lightweight, and he can run and play in them easily. So far they’ve held up well. He can fit them. Non Velcro and slip resistant.

Good, but not great! Insert kept falling out.
Size: 3 Big Kid, Color: Black
I bought these for my 8 year old and the insert was loose and had to be played with multiple times before I could get it to stay in place. I eventually had to place a double sided sticky pad to get the insert to stay.
