Inspired by her six-year-old American-Chinese granddaughter, Barbara Cicerchi’s tale also includes Chinese words and characters that would be most interesting to preschoolers.

About the Author

My vast experience with preschoolers began with raising my own six children. I eventually opened a preschool which weighed heavily on art and books.  I went on to become a professor of early childhood education. I taught college students about the impact that books have on early language development, and children's  love of reading.
