From 1999 on, they have released seven LPs and a slew of EPs on Karaoke Kalk. After a collection of cover versions of their songs by fellow artists and bands called Dis Cover - Donna Regina as Recorded By in 2015 (KK 085CD/LP), Transient sees the wife and husband duo both musically and lyrically pick up where they left off with 2014's Holding the Mirror for Sophia Loren (KK 078CD/LP). Even after 28 years and 13 full-length releases, Donna Regina still have much to say and on their first proper studio album since 2015 express it in more languages than ever. Between the English-language opener "Royal Blue" and the final German track "Lass Uns So Tun", Regina Janssen also explores French ("Quatre Septembres", written by Bertrand Burgalat's lyricist Pascal Mounet), Spanish ("Mí Globo de Nieve") and, newly so, Japanese (the Ayako Akashiba-penned "Melancholy Dragon") as languages to convey complex truths with only few and simple words. Simple would be one word with which to describe the music on Transient, although maybe that would be a premature judgement. Even though the Janssens' music, on this album only supported by the Danish guitarist Rolf Hansen on "Quatre Septembres", seems more minimalistic or perhaps even quieter than before, it is still brimming with details and the occasional moment of ecstasy. Transient isn't one of those records that will start slowly, peak in the middle and then fade out, but between songs like the opener "Royal Blue" and the beat-driven "Blitze" or the ambiguous up-beat track "Komm Lass Uns Heiraten" and "Melancholy Dragon" with it's elegiac synthesizer harmonies draws on the sharp contrasts in mood and style. As such, Transient may just be the perfect title for this album that lyrically is more at home in the entire world than ever before in Donna Regina's history and also makes it abundantly clear that nothing, neither happiness nor sadness, will be forever. After 28 years and 13 full-length releases, Donna Regina stay in motion because the world does, too.

Great chew toy
Size: 10.5 inch Rubber Flex Tread
This is my second time buying the Tonka rings. My dog loves this chew toy. It does take him a bit to destroy them. I give this toy to him as a reward otherwise it be destroyed in 3 days. I have a pitty. So other dogs it should last longer. They are shin whackers and hurt when they connect. So I make sure to watch the dog and toy around small kids and elderly to be safe. They are heavy and made well.

Finally a toy we can leave out!

There are very few toys that we can leave out for our 11 month old golden. Which is a shame because as a small puppy, we taught him to bring us a toy to initiate play instead of nipping. Ropes or stuffies never lasted more than a few minutes so they always had to be taken away. One time he brought us a benenbone to play tug. So I tried this as a last resort. Finally something we can keep out for him! It’s not completely indestructible. He has figured out how to pull bits of tread off. But he chewed hard on it for a solid 20 minutes and it’s still intact with the exception of a few small tread pieces. Can’t say that for 99% of the other dog toys on the market!
UPDATE: OK, so it's definitely not indestructible. After a few days of dedicated gnawing, he has almost chewed through the yellow ring so we can't leave him too unsupervised with it. I'm still going to leave it as 5 stars since it's the best tug toy that I have found so far and we have tried a lot! I may buy another one and just make sure I don't let him freely chew on it for any length of time.

Really wanted this toy to be better...
Size: 10.5 inch Rubber Flex Tread
I got this toy because I have 3 large dogs that all like to pull things. I can't always play with them even though they follow me everywhere wanting to play, so I saw this toy and thought it would be good because it would give them something they can tug away at with each other. I saw the thick rubber and thought it would last awhile, but I was wrong. My German Shepherd and Pyrenees mix chewed though the first tire rather quick, and before I realized, I was finding chunks of tire around the house and yard. Thankfully, none of them tried to eat it. It seems like it could be a good toy for an aggressive chewer IF they are smaller and not as strong as these large dogs are, but it did not hold up long to mine.

Buy it you won’t regret it
This is the best toy ever! My Rottie loves it and can entertain herself for quite a while. The unpredictability of its bounce when tossed keeps her guessing and moving getting lots of energy out. Great for tug as well, or roll it on flat surfaces, it’ll go forever! She love the squeaky too

Best dog toy ever!
We saw someone with one of these at the dog park and thought that it would be perfect for our male Boxer, Buster. He has torn up just about every toy we’ve gotten him and this thing seemed really durable and really fun. Buster absolutely loves this toy! It is definitely the most expensive dog toy I’ve ever bought, but we’ve had it for months, he plays hard with it every day, and it is perfectly intact still! I wish I had known about it sooner so I wouldn’t have wasted money on Toys that he destroyed quickly. If you don’t like squeaky toys this may not be for you because once they figure out how to get it to squeak, you’ll be hearing it often. The nice thing is it doesn’t squeak without a lot of effort and it takes a strong dog to get it going. It doesn’t squeak when it’s just rolling around so that’s a plus. It is big and heavy though so be careful not to trip over it! Fortunately, it’s easy to spot with the bright color on one side. Highly recommended!
