Hailing from Glasgow, Scotland, The Yummy Fur were a wild and weird mix of angular riffs, super short songs and savage vitriol / sardonic social commentary. Singer / guitarist, John McKeown, fronted the band from their 1992 inception (scores of cartoon melodies under a minute long delivered at high velocity) until their demise in 1999. Along the way they recorded three albums: Night Club (1996), Male Shadow at Three O'Clock (1998) and Sexy World (1999). Firm favourites of UK radio DJ legend John Peel, they recorded two sessions for the much revered DJ and regularly featured on his show."We could be like Micheal Stipe and say we liked the Yummy Fur a lot, but that would be a lie because we LOVED the Yummy Fur with all of our heart! Being able to join them on stage for the reunion tour when they played in Portland stands out to us as one of our greatest achievements in our bands career. We didn't just like them, we adored them & obsessively collected anything that had to do with them. They were a beautiful mystery to us in America. Who were these strange weirdos that sang about Lydia Lunch and wrote these 2 minute post-punk masterpieces? A classy gift humidor that feels more premium than its price.

I’m no cigar aficionado, but this humidor gives off a premium vibe. The cedar lining, glass top, and included hygrometer make it look and function just like other consumer-grade or gift humidors I’ve owned in the past. It maintains the right environment for storage, and the build quality feels solid for the price point. As a gift, it looks impressive and works as expected—definitely a worthwhile buy without needing to break the bank.

Solid cigar box with premium touches

This humidor ended up being way nicer than I expected for the price. The digital hygrometer is a great touch and super easy to read without opening it. The glass top feels sturdy and gives it a clean sharp look on the desk. The cedar lining smells amazing right out the box and really helps hold the humidity steady. I got the large one and it easily fits a good mix of sizes. Gave this as a gift to my uncle and he was honestly blown away by the quality. The value for the quality of this box is phenomenal. I love the digital monitor that gives you the humidity percentage, and having a "refillable" part that you use to humidify was such a big plus for me. Super easy to maintain, and super easy to glance at and make sure it is at the correct humidity. I love not having to wonder if I need to add more humidity and fear of ruining my collection! Must have for anyone looking for a humidifying box.

Season Well and It Still Might Not Work
Humidor was seasoned, per the instructions (and more). Yet it will not keep humidity above 60%. It appears the seal/gap is to wide because of the hinge placement. They need to be recessed a bit to create a tighter seal. I have 15 cigars in this box, plus a Boveda 69% 60gram package. Max humidity is 60%.

Impressive Gift

We had another humidor that didn’t have a humidity gauge. Found out that even in high humidity Houston we were not storing our cigars at a high enough humidity. This is a very well-made, sturdy humidor. (Our old one pales in comparison and I thought it was nice!) You open it up and the smell often the wood is just lovely. We often buy Cubans while abroad, and go a long time in between using them. We are not going to take a chance with them now. We will only use this. Perfect for a gift for your cigar aficionado. I think this box is a good value for the money and you will preserve your cigars much better with a digital readout.
