Being Confident Around Men: Inspired by Biblical Women Handbook is a biblically grounded and practical guide for Christian women seeking greater confidence, discernment, emotional steadiness, and peace in their relationships and everyday lives. Drawing inspiration from biblical women such as Deborah, Ruth, Abigail, Hannah, Esther, Mary Magdalene, and Priscilla, Henry Reyenga and Pam Reyenga present a thoughtful handbook focused on whole-life Christian formation rather than surface-level self-help.

This book addresses the quiet struggles many women carry—including insecurity, fear, people-pleasing, emotional overthinking, unhealthy attachment, shame surrounding femininity, and uncertainty about relating to men with wisdom and clarity. Through the lens of the Organic Humans framework, readers are encouraged to develop confidence rooted not in performance, seduction, emotional detachment, or external validation, but in becoming spiritually grounded, emotionally honest, relationally wise, and secure in Christ.

Inside this handbook, readers will explore:

  • Biblical femininity without shame, fear, or performance
  • Healthy confidence and discernment in relationships with men
  • Beauty, modesty, desire, and embodiment through a Christian worldview
  • Emotional steadiness, boundaries, and relational wisdom
  • Covenant thinking, courtship discernment, and relational clarity
  • Ministry readiness and peaceful public female presence
  • Organic woman self-care as Christian stewardship
  • Healing from insecurity, confusion, shame, and approval-seeking
  • Whole-life discipleship for Christian women

Perfect for:

  • Christian women seeking deeper confidence and peace
  • Mentoring relationships and women’s discipleship groups
  • Ministry coaching and chaplaincy training settings
  • Women navigating relationships, courtship, or personal healing
  • Readers longing for grounded, Christ-centered femininity and maturity

Being Confident Around Men is more than a handbook about relationships—it is an invitation for women to grow into greater wholeness, wisdom, truthfulness, and confidence as daughters of God rooted securely in Christ.

This is my middle school daughter’s favorite book.
Format: Paperback
My daughter usually reads only graphic novels, but she started reading chapter books after this one. She loved it so much that she’s read it several times, and since it’s a series, we bought and read all the other books too. It’s a great book for middle school girls—easy to get into and very engaging.

Perfect Combo of Fun and Serious
Format: Kindle
This story was the perfect combination of humor and seriousness. I, even as an adult, remember some of those same feelings and the drama of junior high years. It made me take a look even at myself and ask what I look for in people? It made me ask myself if I need to reach out and apologize. But it also ales me want to do better. Step away from social media. When on social media, make sure I think about my comments and how they can be construed or make people feel. Help my nieces and nephews compliment actions and other such areas and not looks. To look deeper into a person. Well written. Lots of fun. And just what I needed in a book. Chad Morris and Shelly Brown do it again.

Great book with great lessons I want all my kids to learn.
Format: Hardcover
A fun book about kids going to “virtual” school during the pandemic, but like, the coolest virtual school I’ve ever heard of. They use VR headsets to attend from the comfort and safety of their own home, and because it’s a digital world, they have the opportunity to re-invent themselves with customizable avatars. Some go as themselves, some simplify, and some go all-out for reasons that come out as the story progresses. As three students learn to navigate a new school, new friends, and new challenges they learn life lessons that I wish I could drill in to my budding teenagers. This was a fun, quick story that I’m enjoying reading to my middle grade children. I finished it on my own after bedtime because I couldn’t put it down. My eyes may have leaked a few times, but knowing Chad and Shelly’s other wonderful books, it didn’t surprise me in the least that I was so moved. 4.5 stars because some of the VR descriptions don’t mesh with real life VR capabilities (i.e. the motion sickness that would have plagued every kid the way the games/classes were described), but bonus points for the imagination and creativity in creating the school we all wish we could have attended. (If we couldn’t get in to Cragbridge that is…) 😉👍🏻 Thanks for another great book that I’m eager to put into my kids hands.
