2009 reissue on 180-gram vinyl, with a CD. Singer/songwriter Jeff Tweedy formed Wilco in 1994, and is joined by three of his bandmates from the alt-country pioneer band Uncle Tupelo. "A.M.," the band's debut, is reminiscent of that Tupelo magic: their songs are a little more conventionally country, but there's still a lot of adventure and risk taking going on. "Casino Queen" is a Bluesy, twangy number, a snapshot of country life-and, in this way, is representative of how Wilco differs from Tupelo. Their traditional "Box Full of Letters" sticks to that standard mid-tempo Country-Rock sound, but it's executed brilliantly. "I Must Be High," the killer opening song, is beautifully melodious, and indicates that Wilco can shift the genre while still leaving it accessible. Open up a beer, sit back, and put on this LP.

Creative Swings and Takes!

Bold and amazing takes on Brainiac and Ras Al Ghul!
Super worth it for those stories alone!
Sol gets a lot of attention and big moments in this.
I feel torn about the character concept, because if I think of what Sol can do... amazingly cool and creative!
If I think of Sol being a last present of a safeguard to Kal-El, great stuff.
But as someone who despises what is going on with AI in our present day, I hate that Sol is an AI and gets this much attention and reverance.
Especially coming from this book which is heavily awake to the problems in our current society and taking a lot of good stands against those things.
Overall though, awesome climax and I really like this war for Kal-El's soul the whole book!
Just as the world may be warring for yours!

Could not put this book down!
Format: Paperback
Binge read quality!! Finished in 2 days I was in a dilemma with this book. I couldn't wait to finish because it was so good, and yet I didn't want it to end, because it was so good. Staying up til 2:30am is the highest complement I can give to a book. Current day with Gothic feel. The story pulls you in immediately, and there is never a part where it feels dull, or that you need to skip through. Mysterious with plot twists, especially the end. I love how there were flashbacks from the past intertwined with present day. Gave a great backstory that only came together at the very end. Spicy for sure, and fit in perfectly with story. Great character development so that you could empathize with both of the main characters.. Lucian and Isa. Check Trigger warnings first!
