First-wave Slumberland Records band Lorelei is back with their first new album since 1994's Everyone Must Touch the Stove. In their '90s heyday, the Washington, DC-based three-piece (Matt Dingee on guitar, Stephen Gardner on bass and Davis White on drums) earned a well-deserved reputation as one of the most unique outfits around, with a very distinctive blend of post-rock dynamics, sneakily melodic songwriting and ear-blasting guitar noise. Finding kinship with groups as disparate as Whorl, the Swirlies, Laika, Bailter Space and Lilys, Lorelei make records as subtle and multi-layered as their live show is aggressive and memorably powerful. Enterprising Sidewalks picks right up where Lorelei left off, serving up ten gorgeously complex exercises in pummeling rhythms and melodic abstraction. Produced by the band with Ben Bailes (Chessie), with additional recording by Archie Moore (Velocity Girl, Black Tambourine) and mixing by Guy Fixsen (My Bloody Valentine, Moose, Laika), the new album is a deep and intricately produced listen. Tunes like "Hammer Meets Tongs" and "Sorry for the Patience" are as rich with rhythmic twists and melodic intrigue as their very best material, and Dingee's guitar attack is as varied as ever, ranging from ringing harmonics to shredding feedback, often within the same verse.

This is our go-to shoes for our kids
Size: 12 Little Kid, Color: Grey/Silver/Pink
I have been buying these shoes for my two toddler girls for a few years now. They are not cheap but they use good quality material. The only downside is the velcro closure is not that great compared to the rest of the shoe. The velcro becomes weak or not as sticky well before the shoe has run its course. They come in a variety of colors which is fun for the kids. One of my daughters has sensitive fee or just fine shoes generally uncomfortable and she never has a problem with these. I also love that they're available in half sizes. And I find them to be true to size

Easy on and off
I’m a big fan of Sauconys so I wanted to introduce my daughter to my love of sneakers. These are good shoes and they’ve held up well. They show a lot of dirt but they’re worn by a toddler so I guess that’s expected. They’re lightweight so my daughter can easily walk in them. My only complaint is the length of the Velcro fastener. We use thin socks and the fastener barely goes halfway across the shoe. It just looks odd to me. Otherwise, it’s a great shoe. I’ll definitely buy more.

Cute shoes for new walkers
Great shoes for new walkers, with a sturdy heel cup and flexible sole, and super easy to get on/take off. The fit is a bit on the narrow side, so recommend checking the size chart. Great colors too! We've bought multiple pairs in different sizes and have always been happy.

Great shoe: 5th pair purchased!
I love these shoes! They fit true to size and never wear out. Both of my girls have worn these exclusively from 9 months through kindergarten. My oldest just learned to tie laces and that’s the only reason I’m moving her on to different shoes. These are stylish and they grow out of them before the tread even begins to show wear. Additionally, unlike cheap sneakers from Walmart or Target the Velcro holds strong despite a year of use by two different children.

Great purchase!
My child is 14 months and has been on the move for a long time, these shoes are so great, he moves great in them and never has a problem wearing them!
They are slightly narrow so the strap doesn’t go all the way, but has never come undone!
