Starting with our wonderful sport never comes without collisions especially in the high-frequency center day to day life. That’s why the VIPER HD is produced with focus on durability using our ASA SANDWICH TECHNOLOGY which is the strongest semi-custom technology to-date. We use a 0.8mm thermoplastic polymer ASA skin at the outside covering the EPS-Epoxy-Glass sandwich core. The thermoform ASA material is known for its extraordinary impact and ding resistance. An additional wide reinforcing band around the rails protects the most exposed area from mast impacts. The VIPER HD comes in 3 different sizes covering all kind of student body weights:Body weight <70kg >> VIPER HD 180Body weight 65-95kg >> VIPER HD 210Body weight >85kg >> VIPER HD 240Even though the VIPER HD might look unspectacular at first view it features some sophisticated shape details:The rocker line with a longer flat in the center improves the stability and efficiency in sub-planing conditions. A harmonious rocker towards the tail enables a smooth transition into gliding/planing mode without sudden or overwhelming power surges.Fuller rails in the nose and center increase the volume and make the VIPER HD super stable. Ergonomic rails towards the tail result in a good response to sail or foot steering.Ideal for the first-time windsurfing experience: The overall width provides excellent stability for uphauling, while the parallel outline and extended waterline keep it tracking well in a straight line when at lower speeds. Yet this design concept delivers effortless gliding and early planing making it the ultimate school board. The bottom features a Vee with concaves in the front combined with a flat progressive Vee towards the back. This is the ideal compromise between comfort, easy going and control even in chop. The VIPER HD is a high-tech learning machine packed with tech features to elevate the learning experience:70% EVA PAD A large 6mm deck pad covers the entire stance area which results in a foot-friendly riding sensation. The pad ends above the rail for longevity when stored and pushed into board-racks. We only select EVA colours which don't look dirty after use and will also resist fading after hours in the sun.RETRACTABLE DAGGERBOARDThere is no alternative to a retractable daggerboard when it comes to everyday use in a busy surf center. We only use the original Allgaier daggerboard which is the most reliable and functional system. Widely available spare parts make it easily serviceable.VDWS APPROVEDApproved by the biggest teaching association in the worldEASY HANDLING + SECURITYHandles on the nose and tail make it easier to carry the board into the water. Can also be used as an attachment point to lock the boards at night.VIPER FIN incl. Quick-Lock SystemThe 34cm fin is big enough for directional stability yet short enough to allow shallow water launching. The edges are not excessively sharp to reduce the risk of injury. Our P-COMPOUND material guarantees maximum durability. The Quick-Lock System is the most convenient system for mounting your fin as it doesn't require a screw driver - ideal for rack storage. The recessed extender lever guarantees maximum leverage and is 100% fail-safe.The VIPER HD is widely recognised as one of the most successful beginner windsurfing board of all time – the board of choice for over 200 windsurfing schools worldwide.

What Merwin Thought Represented Him Best
Format: Paperback
If one volume could sum up adequately W.S. Merwin's artistic development and illustrate his place in American literature with some justice, "Migration" does the job. At least as importantly, it gives us the poet's own opinion on the poems for which he might want to be remembered, much as Nathaniel Tarn inspired Pablo Neruda to do in the selection of Neruda's poems that Tarn oversaw. I bought "Migration" at roughly the same time as and and cross-referenced his selection from those titles in "Migration" against the whole. While I still have one or two favorites that did not make the cut, I found the choices he made consistently better-inspired and more timeless than the poems that surrounded them (though overall Merwin has remained a consistent and astonishingly fine craftsman throughout his career). For those who want to go further back than Merwin's more recent books for Copper Canyon Press should not be disappointed.

ws merwin's collected poems
Format: Hardcover
it's a hardback and it's in great condition. apparently it's a library book that has been in more than one sale, at one point someone had put a price of fifty cents on it. it's sad that arguably one of the better modern writers did not find a permanent home but that meant a great deal for me. also, i hope the reason the book started its journey wasn't because the library folded but that might explain why the book left the shelves to begin with.

Better than Expected
Format: Paperback
Though the title impied there were new poems in this volume, I found some of my favorites, but didn't notice any new ones. Never mind, they are wonderful, and I liked this book so much, I purchased a copy for a friend and published poet, who's poet in the schools, Grace Grafton, who is familiar with Merwin's writing. That made both of us happy. On a practical level, it is easier to schlep a single volume with you than three of four, when what you want is 'La crême de la crême.' Makes a welcome addition to any collection, a great gift to introduce Merwin, and a pleasure to read the smooth, ariculate poetry that is food for the soul. Antoinette Constable
