- Born in 1960, Julien lives and works in London as a filmmaker and installation artist. ‘Looking for Langston’ received the Teddy Award for Best Short Film at the 1989 Berlin International Film Festival. To celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the Teddy Awards, the film was selected to be shown at the 66th Berlin International Film Festival in February 2016.
- Having recently worked on conserving and restoring ‘Looking for Langston’ images from his extensive archive, Julien exhibited photographic works at Victoria Miro, London (2017), Jessica Silverman Gallery, San Francisco (2016) and Ron Mandos Gallery, Amsterdam (2016) and a special screening of the film was presented in its original 16mm print at Tate Britain, London (2017).
- The award-winning film, Looking For Langston, made in 1989, is a visually beautiful and lyrical exploration of black and white gay identities set in the Harlem Renaissance in New York of the 1920’s and 1930’s.
- The film is inspired by the unexplored aspects of the life and work of the poet Langston Hughes (1902–1967). The poetry of Langston Hughes, Bruce Nugent and Essex Hemphill are set to blues and jazz as well as ’80’s house music and features the voices of Toni Morrison and Stuart Hall.
- Looking for Langston combines authentic archival newsreel footage, stylized dramatic scenes and the original archive soundtrack, creating a powerful reflection on the expression and suppression of gay desire.

My tendency to knock over anything at least two inches high is a remarkable skill I’d rather not have but as long as I can claim said skill, I’m eternally grateful for this case for my iPad. Not only is it the only protective device that’s accomplished its intended use, it features a stand that is adjustable with ease to view your screen from any direction you prefer and can still access volume and off/on button. The leather strap to handle it with one hand also is a perfect solution to a typical problem. I’m accustomed to a cracked screen on iPhones and tablets or iPads but this iPad is the first I’ve ever had to go over six months and survive.

Cool Texture, Great Product, Notable Cons, Still Recommend

AMAZING PRODUCT! I've never used a "paper-like" screen protector, but this one applied perfectly and was easy to use! (just follow the instructions!) no bubbles, just one single speck of dust (my own fault - sigh). It creates a very strong "matte" effect and feels cool to run your hand over (very paper-y)
CONS:
-The fit was SLIGHTLY big for my new S11 tablet, (each corner went RIGHT to the very corner of the tablet ALMOST going over the lip-this was just the corners of the protector and not the edges, which I found weird. IMO, its too close for my own comfort, but it still works none the less, and I've managed to use a case with it too with only minor corner lift).
-The texture of the screen protector definitely distorts the pixels slightly, its just something to get used to, and probably something you'd have to see yourself, for if it would bug you or not.
-It collects fingerprints like craaazy but they also wipe off craaazy easy too....sooo not fully an issue? just surprised me.
Overall, for the money, I still recommend getting this protector if you're at all interested in a "paper-like" finish!

I love these screen protectors. They feel amazing and they sent an installation kit making the applying process so easy. There was also a squeegee included to make sure air bubbles wouldn’t
Be a problem. I’ve had zero problems with the protector reducing the touch sensitivity of the screen, the protectors fit well, seem durable, and are great quality. The price was also reasonable. I’ve never owned other paper-feel screen protectors so I’m not able to give a comparison, but for these being my first ones I am very pleased.
