Blessed with beautiful hills and vistas, the area was frequented by hunters and trappers but had no settlement until the eighteenth century, when British governors, including John Wentworth, urged coastal dwellers to move inland. In 1759, it was named Wolfeboro in honor of Battle of Quebec hero Gen. James Wolfe, and on August 1, 1770, King George II granted the township to the settlers. Wolfeboro unfolds a visual perspective of town life from the 1800s through the mid-1900s. Breathtaking views of the several lakes and mountains are combined with photographs of the people and the structures they built to further the town's growth and progress: the stunning homes, the museums, and the buildings in and around Wolfeboro. Seven scenes highlight the changes over a period of eighty years in the downtown area, which is known as the Bridge. Also depicted are the Carry at Wolfeboro Neck that was used long ago by Native Americans, the ice pylons, the shoe factory, Fisherville on the lake, the hotels in all their splendor, and the prominent Brewster Memorial Hall, which today serves as town hall.Binding Type: Paperback

Great computer!
This is a great computer! I'm 70 and love it! The only complaint is that I can't use the wireless keyboard because it only came with 1 usb instead of 2. I had to use the wired keyboard from my old computer.

Easy to set up!
Despite the price ($529 on sale) - this fits my budget of less than $1000! I’ve upgraded from an old iMac that was so slow and this one fits the bill for being faster and more efficient. Having a wireless mouse and keyboard is a plus. I’m not a fan of the pop-up camera as it needs more finesse to pop out naturally - for me it seems so rough popping it in and out. Still trying to figure it out and will update my review along the way. It came nicely package, value for the money is on point, the size is perfect - not too big or small, it looks sleek but the sound quality is warbled. It can’t be all perfect for its price. I’d still recommend as a start up computer as it is budget friendly!

Ease of use
I had a Dell after years and years it finally gave up. I am elderly, I don't like change. I tried another brand and it was so complicated I ordered my good old tried and true Dell. It has new stuff I don't know how to use, but I don't do music, social media, movies or any of the things it offers, so I am able to use it just like my older computer. It is wonderful.
The screen is big and everything is clear and it was easy to set up. It is compatible with my printer and has more storage than I will ever use. I highly recommend it, especially to beginners.
