Drawing Basics and Video Game Art: Classic to Cutting-Edge Art Techniques for Winning Video Game Design"This book supports my own 30 year crusade to demonstrate that games are an art form that undeniably rivals traditional arts. "This book supports my own 30-year crusade to demonstrate that games are an art form that undeniably rivals traditional arts. It gives detailed explanations of game art techniques and their importance, while also highlighting their dependence on artistic aspects of game design and programming."

-- John Romero, co-founder of id Software and CEO of Loot Drop, Inc.

"Solarski's methodology here is to show us the artistic techniques that every artist should know, and then he transposes them to the realm of video games to show how they should be used to create a far more artful gaming experience ... if I were an artist planning to do video game work, I'd have a copy of this on my shelf."

-- Marc Mason, Comics Waiting Room

Video games are not a revolution in art history, but an evolution. Whether the medium is paper or canvas--or a computer screen--the artist's challenge is to make something without depth seem like a window into a living, breathing world. Video game art is no different.

Drawing Basics and Video Game Art is first to examine the connections between classical art and video games, enabling developers to create more expressive and varied emotional experiences in games. Artist game designer Chris Solarski gives readers a comprehensive introduction to basic and advanced drawing and design skills--light, value, color, anatomy, concept development--as well as detailed instruction for using these methods to design complex characters, worlds, and gameplay experiences. Artwork by the likes of Michelangelo, Titian, and Rubens are studied alongside AAA games like BioShock, Journey, the Mario series, and Portal 2, to demonstrate perpetual theories of depth, composition, movement, artistic anatomy, and expression.

Although Drawing Basics and Video Game Art is primarily a practical reference for artists and designers working in the video games industry, it's equally accessible for those interested to learn about gaming's future, and potential as an artistic medium.

Great stuff.
Style: Tropical Coconut
No weird smell or greasy residue, feels great on the skin. Tried it while on vacation (friend's lotion), and bought some when I got home. It is my go to now.

My fave!!
Size: 6 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Wow. I'm so impressed with this conditioner that I'd pay three times what it cost, but I'm glad it's so reasonably priced! For reference, I bought this for myself, not a child, and my hair is medium-fine, wavy, and just past my shoulders. My hair is in good condition since I gave up heat styling a few months ago, starting using more organic hair products, and also switched from chemical hair color to using pure henna. But even though my scalp is oily, my hair is on the dry side because it's still recovering from the abuse I used to put it through, plus I live in the desert. So I like a rich conditioner that deeply moisturizes my hair, and this one does that better than any other conditioner I've ever tried, and I've tried SO SO many. My hair feels hydrated and silky after using this, and shines like crazy in the sunlight. The same day I used it, my husband commented "Your hair looks so healthy." This conditioner also brings out my waves and reduces frizz, without feeling or looking heavy... but a little goes a LONG way... this is a serious conditioner, not a watered-down drugstore product. So if you over-do it, your hair may go limp. I can't stand perfume-y smelling hair products, so I'm happy to say the aroma is natural, and while I wouldn't call it "light," it's certainly not strong. I really love the scent and would describe it as warm and comforting. I hope they never stop making this stuff. It reminds me of another conditioner I really like, by Accure, but I have to say I like the results and aroma of this one even better.

Very useful for babies
Size: 6 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
This is a must buy. I bought this for my son who has hypersensitivity. A little bit goes a long way and it is very concentrated. The scent is not nauseating. It washes off well and is definitely worth the price.

Extremely nourishing and moisturizing
Size: 6 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Really like this conditioner for my daughter. It leaves her hair so soft after using, I use to use shea moisture kids conditioner on her hair and it would never feel silky or smooth after a shower. This conditioner definitely makes it feel nourished. I also love that it’s vegan. really good for your kids hair. I recommend it! As previous reviews states it has a bad scent, I don’t think so at all. The scent is just more natural. It’s not sweet and fake like these other conditioners. Love the product!

Love this conditioner
Size: 6 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
We LOVE this conditioner. It's just the right amount of moisture for our kids' hair. Even does the trick after swim lessons in a pool with chlorine. Smells great without smelling toxic or perfumey. Tangles come right out.
