Austin-based experimental/avant-garde blues band Churchwood continue their streak of winning albums with 'Hex City', their fourth full-length release now available on Vinyl LP. This go-around finds them in a sardonic and playful mood with great new tunes including 'One Big White Nightmare','Hainted' and 'Sag' as the band weaves a spell of musical voodoo around the tongue twisting, multi-lingual lyrics of Joe Doerr. Veteran critic Michael Corcoran describes the band's sound as having "a prog-like thickness while staying grounded in roots rock", while William Michael Smith says Churchwood is "Dense and nasty, literate and mean...". Churchwood is recommended for those who favor artists such as Captain Beefheart, Nick Cave and Tom Waits who push the lyrical and musical boundaries of the blues form.

Works well

There is nothing special about this product but it works fine. The only thing is that the paper towels are rough and thin, rather than a thick and soft. They fit perfectly on our paper towel rack so that’s nice. I recommend this product if you don’t care how your paper towels feel.

The price point on these paper towels is pretty good, but you are definitely getting what you pay for. The quality is not that great in my opinion. They are very thin and not the most absorbent. So, if you prefer a thicker and more absorbent paper towel, I’d probably suggest another option.

Thin and scratchy

Unbelievably thin, brittle and terrible quality. Couldn’t wait to use them up. Like trying to sop up spills with a saltine cracker. Might consider these at half the listed price but for the incremental cost difference, actual quality paper towels are worth it to me. Lesson learned.
